lmfao

HOLLYOAKS bosses are boldly going where no soap has gone before – by casting an alien.

In one of the soap world’s craziest plots, the mystery character – known only as Kevin the Alien – will land on Earth this summer.

Hailing from Aecyron Proxima Centauri – a red dwarf star in the constellation of Centauri – he’ll quickly befriend sci-fi super-geek Elliot Bevan.

Lovable fanatic Elliot, played by Garnon Davies, does his best to convince everyone that Kevin is a real-life E.T. No one believes him but they play along – putting it down to one of his weird phases.

But Kevin really is an alien. And viewers will see him disappear as quickly as he arrived – by shooting up into the sky as a star. Speaking about the bizarre plot, an insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “Everyone knows Hollyoaks can get away with different storylines. But having an alien land in the village is just out of this world.

“The soap’s bosses have to convince viewers that they’re actually watching an alien walking around the village.

“It’s going to be something like what happened in the movie E.T.

“Kevin the Alien will be on a mission of discovery. Everything on Earth is new to him.

“Some of the cast actually burst out laughing when they were told about Kevin.

“But they have already started filming the story-line so it’s going to happen.

“There’s a scene coming up where Kevin will discover girls’ boobs. He’ll develop a fascination for them and wants to touch as many as he can. This gets him pretty well known among the babes in the village but, sadly, for all the wrong reasons.”

Last night the insider revealed there was a real fear the plot could well be the final frontier for the Channel 4 soap, following a massive slump in ratings.

But new boss Paul Marquess, who was brought in to change the show’s fortunes, is *convinced the storyline will be a winner. Our source said: “A lot of people think Paul has gone mad with this one.

“It’s never been done before but he’s certain it will be a success.”

Just when everyone thought Hollyoaks couldn't get any worse
I think this will kill the show off, its struggling to get 1million viewers now. I can't imagine an alien plot in the middle of August will top 500,000
I think Hollyoaks will be axed in the next year
