Well they were a lot more bland and monotonous than the Strokes are. Listen to "Heart in a Cage", "Someday", "Reptilia" and then call them that :conf2:

I don't think they were. I've listened to alot of The Strokes. But differences in opinion is what makes music great. I'm sure we'll agree on alot of other bands lol

i agree with the libertines being "indie dribble" although i do like them.
The strokes however are just amazing with is this it being one of the best albums, in my opinion, of all time

Noo, I think Room on fire was the worst out of the three but still Room on fire was amazing.
The strokes playing isle of wight were also truly spectacular, they have shown they've still got it!

I quite liked "Hard to Explain" back in the day. I think they were sadly victims of their own hype though as they could never live up to the hysterical praise they received from the mainstream music press.

New York has produced far, far better indie rock bands.

Why on earth would I listen to an album from a band who have released a series of single I have disliked. Surely that's telling me something - that I won't like their album. So no, I absolutely have not heard a whole album.

And I don't know who died and made you king of music taste, putting you in a position to preach. But I am terribly sorry if my '****pop' as you so generally put it isn't cool enough for you.
