Just been reading comments about the nominations twist and reactions seem kinda mixed. Which tasks/recent format change do you prefer? Which is more entertaining so far? Which has a better overall impact on the house and public?

BB9's Head of House tasks which affected the heaven/hell divide (excusing BB3's rich/poor divide)?

Or

BB11's Nominations tasks which obviously affect who the evictees are?

bb11 is better

I know it's early days for BB11 and people considered BB9's divide a carbon copy of BB3 but I liked them both.

I'll probably go for BB11 because it means HM have to earn the right to stay in the house, the cheese task was active and fun to watch, and the cheese task suited the carnival theme of the series.

BB9's only lasted weeks 6-12 and didn't really fit the 'zero tolerance' theme

Anything BB9 does is miles better than this pathetic series.

Tbh I like BB11 but it doesn't compare to BB9 at all.

How the **** does a block of cheese suit a carnival theme?

Heaven and Hell did suit the BB9 theme the entire house was built around it this nomination thing was just thrown in and doesn't match anything.

The Head of House thing was great and it was good to see the house being devided and having a leader, I'd much rather watch that than a Fat Holy Welsh Man running back and forward with a block of cheese only to win and kick out a fit girl.

Wow, just noticed both your avatar and Lukee's show you on diary room chairs. Sweet.

Anyways, I loved BB9. Really do believe if BB8 never happened and BB9 was the first series after CBB5 the ratings would still be high and BB could have been spared the axe.

I think a lot of BB9's critcisms was that it was trying to be like BB3 with the divide, or BB5 with Fight Night II, BB6 with the house, or even BB7 with the series length etc but weren't as good as those previous series but I like it because it tried to incorprate all those elements of already successful series and think it pulled it off quite well

Lol it was like a carnival sideshow, the spinning cogs, the dressing up, it was just very active in comparison to some of BB9's. One week BB9 would have them eat hot chillis but the next they'd just stand as still as statues.

Yeah that's the criticism of this year's twist - one week someone who escaped nomiantions that the public wanted out could escape nominations but then be put up after the task, but then again it could also backfire like Rachael's and Dave remains in the house. Unless this happens week after week I think it's an exciting gamble.

I liked head of house tasks. This twist is just unfair.

i cant really remember the rules of hoh, this twist is good but in a way its bad because it means the most entertaining could end up going without even being nominated

Exactly, it's a silly twist imo.

for example, even though i loathe govan he needs to stay in the house because he causes the most drama

Both were quite unpredictable.

BB9 was different each week. In week 6 three Hms had to elect who they wanted as HoH, in week 7 three had to hang from tyres dressed as gorillas, in week 8 all HMs had to eat chilli peppers etc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brother_2008_(UK)#Head_of_House

Wheras BB11's unpredictable because anyone could face eviction depending on who missed out on nominations, who passes the task, who they're up against. So Rachael went last week and Dave was saved but perhaps this week Govan might be up or even Steve because "They're HMs the public are likely to keep in" lol

Obviosuly we've only seen the first nominations task so they might not all be as active but it was quite an entertaining task

BB9's HoH tasks, i just think these BB11 tasks are very unfair because thes epeople were nominated to face eviction yet people who didnt even get enough to be put up end up facing the eviction instead, i'd feel cheated to be put up for eviction when I wasn't even nominated to

BB9's Head of House by a country mile. The new BB11 format is just completely pathetic and rips out the whole concept of nominations.

The HoH seemed pointless to me, it is the instrumental piece of BB USA, but semeed randomly inserted halfway through, and used differently, in our BB.

I like the introduction of the veto, however.

Well they're both a form of veiled meddling, but at least the HoH tasks didn't let nominees get off scott free.

Kaaarenn!

I thought the BB9 Head of House tasks and that were quite boring. This year it is more interesting to see who saves themselves and who they put up in their place.

BB11 Nomination Tasks by a mile.

BB9 without a doubt - that twist was completely fair and the process was clear. HMs got to decide who competed for HoH and the "housemates from hell" had their own fate in their hands when competing for the right to nominate.

Though it looks like they might be spending money on tasks this year, as long as it's just the nominees competing in the "save and replace" task it is completely unfair on the rest of the house, and as suggested numerous times at the very least a few non-nominated HMs should be chosen at random to also have the chance to ensure they don't face eviction.
