2 years ago Johnny Clayton won this tournament and was given a place in the Premier league, he went on to win that Premier League. Last year Joe Cullen won this tournament and was given a place in the Premier league and had a dart to win that Premier league. Tonight saw the debut of 16 year old Luke Littler.

He beat former BDO champion Christian Kisst 3-0. Losing only 2 legs and Kisst didn't even play that bad.

Littler hit 7 180s in 11 legs. He finished with 107.9 average and 50 percent on doubles.

He'll be World champion before he's 20. If you watched tonight you saw the World championship birth of the next big thing.

He plays his next round tomorrow night. I am interested to see how he goes tomorrow against a more slower, methodical opponent and an opponent that has won a TV major this year in Andrew Gilding. I make Littler the favourite, but it will be a different test for him.

Much different challenge tonight for the young 16 year old. A very tight game with not much between them. But the young lad did it and came through as winner 3 sets to 1.

Williams is very strong mentally and can hit his checkouts. He was the last World number 1 in the BDO before it ended and reached the final of the last BDO World championships. So he has good pedigree. He's also just knocked Peter Wright out 3 sets to nil.

Gary Anderson gone to Brendan Dolan. But that's not even close to being the story of the night.

The young 16 year old took the legend, Raymond van Barneveld (who played great) to School.

Littler beat van Barneveld 4 sets to 1 in the best of fashion.

105 average. 50 percent on doubles and his timing was World class. Nobody out there can live with that over a long distance.

Littler vs Van Gerwen is the dream final. They've both looked head and shoulders above everyone else so far in this tournament.

Van Gerwen hasn't lost a set yet. Littler is just looking unbeatable.

The irresistible force against the Unmovable object is the final we deserve.

I am more of a Littler fan as his rise in Darts reminds me of when Hamilton arrived at the F1 scene.

I enjoyed all of the matches, they were far more exciting than the Football has been this season in my view.

And none of the Pundits said silly **** like "he needs to feel loved" which was a blessing.
