I'm surprised you didn't have Avicii penciled as a wimpy cheesestring from the start, to be honest. Like I said before I'd much rather the dance infliction on the charts than the prototypical baby I'm so sorry brand of RnB that was dominating it previously but at least spin some House Mafia or something.

I always find it weird how the sounds in the biggest tracks in the world right now have pretty much all come from a lot of the style of trance that was written off as fad kitch back in it's heyday.

I'd rather hear a gunshot from my only child's bedroom than have to hear Wake Me Up one more time. I know it's pop and I know a lot of this style of music is predicated on simplistic melodies - there is nothing wrong with that - but Avicii does it in such a transparent way that it just takes the piss.

I think so, yeah! The songs have that sort of moody vibe that Everything Is Embarrassing did and they're all ridiculously catchy. I can't stop listening to 24 Hours myself.

..yeah, I always think it's quite funny..interesting funny, not amusing when you hear a new song/new artist and you think, wow..this could really be something...and then it just doesn't happen..and on reflection, you think oh, they had so much potential...but maybe they never did have that potential at all but were just one of 5769789488 'struggling to be recognised' artists that just happened to have the perfect song release for that time..if you know what I mean...maybe they were always average/ok but the song was just perfect and right for them and the charts....it's funny because Claudia posted Judie Tzuke, Stay With Me Till Dawn, a great song..and another person I thought would be so big and keep releasing great things but she didn't...you'll probably tell me she released loads and they all were highly charted but I just wasn't paying attention/following her music enough...yeah, that's possible as well.....
