TiBB's Most Loved Member #3 - Countdown thread!

It's here! TiBB's bi-annual countdown of who's done what to merit that. Members nominated up to ten members they wished to see make the shortlist; the variety of nominations was so great that I had to put qualification into the shortlist up to 3 nominations to make sure I only got 50. This failed, I got 53 and decided to progress with that number. In round 2, you picked ten members from that list and ranked them from 1st to 10th. Earlier today, Claymores asked to be removed from the list, so in order to explain the voting system with an example of how the countdown will look, here are Claymores' points before he withdrew:

#N/A - Claymores
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 18 points || Total: 27 points.
A nice paragraph detailing why exactly people chose this member, blah blah.

Round 1 points were calculated by taking the number of times a member was nominated, multiplied by 3. Round 2 points are a cumulative total of points they received from members (1st place = 10 points, 10th place = 1 point), and their total number of points dictates where they finished on the countdown.

#52 - BOOSH
1st Round: 12 points || 2nd Round: 7 points || Total: 19 points.
Although she joined in 2008, BOOSH became a recognisable regular poster this year. Her outgoing, friendly personality comes across well on the forum; with those who voting for her commenting “she’s always been friendly every time I’ve spoken to her on the forum and she is hot.” Another voter stated that she is “like an angel on top of a Christmas tree.”

#51 - Matt
1st Round: 12 points || 2nd Round: 9 points || Total: 21 points.
Matt’s resurgence in popularity on TiBB was aided by his role as a judge on the Z Factor. :tongue: No I’m totally kidding; people love Matt for a variety of reasons, one member commenting that he “deserves a lot of votes purely for the time and creativity” that he puts into the forum, and went on to say that he “contributes a lot to the site in the most literal sense, and is a real asset.” Examples of his recent contributions include his popular Christmas skin entry, and his annual Razzies thread!

#49= - Chewy
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 13 points || Total: 22 points.
Chewy is TiBB’s resident Coronation Street fan, something that has not gone unnoticed amongst forum members. One member said of Chewy “it’s nice to talk to someone who knows everything about Corrie” because it’s good to “get all the news from them”, while another member mentioned that they “have debates and we’re polite towards one another.”

#49= - BB_Eye
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 13 points || Total: 22 points.
A member since September 2008; BB_Eye has left a lasting impression on the forum. One member commented on BB_Eye’s appreciation for classic music, and noted that BB_Eye was “probably the most underrated poster of the forum, being brilliant at sculpting his opinion.” Another poster commented on BB_Eye, saying that “his posts are always well thought out and intelligent” and he “comes across as level headed and interesting.”

#48 - DrunkerThanMoses
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 15 points || Total: 24 points.
Jon aka DrunkerThanMoses received votes from members who lament his reduced forum activity in recent times: “unfortunately he doesn’t post enough anymore, but I always enjoy my chats with Jon.” Another asked “where the hell has Jon gone? He has a weird obsession with Mario, but deep down he is a friendly, loved, Welsh bubble wrap full of joy! I miss him.” Another member said he was “a really nice and lovely guy, I wish there were more people like him around here.”

#46= - Zippy
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 17 points || Total: 26 points.
Zippy was praised for being a good member by members who said “away from him being a Cheryl Cole fan, I quite like him – he’s funny too.” Another member agreed, saying he “makes really good posts and is funny, like, you can be discussing something with him and arguing your side, but yet you know he’s right in a way.” Another member complimented him for being “unique, fresh, sexual and intelligent – he has all the qualities you need in a man!”

#46= - Jords
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 17 points || Total: 26 points.
Jords was voted for by members due to being a “lovely boy” and for “also being really nice.” He was described by one member as being “just a generally nice guy, doesn’t have much of a bad word to say about anyone.” Jords is “a really nice person to post with and was very welcoming towards me when I joined.” He was praised for being a “nice guy” who “cares about other members, and he’s great.”

Josy was perhaps the least known addition to the moderating team when new moderators were appointed to deal with the surge of activity during BB11. One member commended Josy for being a member who “seems very friendly, and funny as well.” She must be one of the few moderators who isn’t accused of bias, underlining just how good a member she is!

#44= - angus58
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 18 points || Total: 27 points.
angus58 received votes for her debating skills; voters admire the way she tackles issues and argues her case strongly. One member said of her “a great forum member who can debate very well in the serious debates forum and bring people down in flames with a few words, but can be humorous and fun at the same time.” Other comments on angus58’s forum posts included “brilliant starter of threads with deep insight to very deep issues” and one member summed her up saying that she is “a very likeable and feisty forum member.”

#41= - Captain.Remy
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 19 points || Total: 28 points.
Captain.Remy, formerly known as sunshine30, has been described as “the best foreign member”, a “foreign hotty” and one member commented on his intelligence, saying he is “probably the most intelligent member on the forum.” Remy is renowned for his fluency in several languages and was summed up by one member as a “babe.”

#41= - 30stone
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 19 points || Total: 28 points.
30stone, our muscle bound moderator, popular across the forum despite not posting as much as he used to. One member commented on this, pointing out that “doesn't post as much as he used to but when he does they're usually good posts.” Another member commented on Ben’s kindness, saying “Ben is such a sweetheart and any girl would be lucky to have him. He is good looking too and we need members that we can perv on in MTM. He is down to earth and is willing to chat to anyone. There needs to be more blokes like Big Ben in the world.” Ben was summarised as a “good guy” and is “always worth speaking to.”

#41= - ~Kerry~
1st Round: 15 points || 2nd Round: 13 points || Total: 28 points.
~Kerry~, formerly known as Jaye, received votes because of how amiable she is. Comments that came with votes with Kerry included “very friendly” and “always there for anyone and great to talk to.” One member commented on the fact that she is “lovely to chat to on chilled out nights” and another said of Kerry: “a really nice member, very welcoming and fun to post with.”

Darenn’s lasting popularity on TiBB is a testament to how nice a guy he is. Members said of him: “another quiet but well loved member; he isn't always around but he's always missed” and “aww Daren, what a fierce mess...” Darenn is part of the moderating team and is known for his obsessions with blonde male celebrities, along with his love for Adam Lambert, John Barrowman and many more!

#38= - bettiepage
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 20 points || Total: 29 points.
Stunning, wurk it :love:, it’s bettiepage! Formerly known as rice_square, Tommy’s become something of a nuisance on the forum in recent times, with one member commenting “yeah he is a troll, but he is original and funny as ****!” He was voted for because he is “really funny, without even trying to be” and because he “makes me laugh, and even though like half of TiBB hate him, the other half love him just as much as I do <3.” One member described him as their “online boyfriend”!

#38= - andyman
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 20 points || Total: 29 points.
“The Great King that needs to return. Probably the funniest member ever.” What better way to summarise andyman? His disappearance from the forum has not gone unnoticed, one member referring to him as a “TiBB legend” and another passing comment on the disintegration of the Brotherhood thread: “The BH has died a painful death without him, I loved his banter, was by far the funniest member on the forum and an all round great guy!”

#37 - bbfan1991
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 21 points || Total: 30 points.
bbfan1991 made it onto the list, as one member put it, for being “one of the best new members of 2010, definitely.” Another member said of bbfan1991: “glad to see him on the list, he’s been a great new member and seems to get on with everyone on the forum.” Also known as Reggie (not his real name), one member admired him for being “one of the happiest, friendliest people I have ever come across on the forum.” They went on to say “his random posts during some of the arguments that always seemed to be going on a few months back had me in stitches and he's just such a laid back guy, by far the best newcomer on the list”, another voter said “we need more members like this.”

#36 - nanaimo
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 22 points || Total: 31 points.
Coming next on the countdown is nanaimo! One member voted for nanaimo because: “they defended us Aiden fans when the Cher fans were attacking us.” Another member of the forum said that nanaimo “also makes me laugh” while another comment made about nanaimo was “ they’re a likeable forum member.”

Gary is renowned for his intolerance of many people and things and making people laugh. MrGaryy may not use the forum as much as he used to, but he received votes for being “a quick witted bitch who is always armed with a vicious put down and never leaves home without packing a cutting retort.” Gary was praised furthermore for his quick wit: “we love him though, he’s our Regina George and we wouldn’t want it any other way.”

#34 - Lauren
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 24 points || Total: 33 points.
TiBB’s “walking encyclopedia who knows everything!” Who else could it be but Lauren? Lauren was hugely popular when she frequented the forum, one member saying “she’s pretty much perfection” and another summarising her as “all round amazingness.” She was described as “the mother goose” and another member said “without a doubt my favourite person to have ever graced this forum.”

#33 - GiRTh
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 27 points || Total: 36 points.
GiRTh is a no nonsense member, lauded for his sensible posts and laid back attitude. One member noted that he “talks a lot of sense and is a good poster here”, while another said that GiRTh was “a very likeable forum member.” He earned votes in spite of being an “underrated member”, with one member voting for him because “I rarely talk to him but he's good at showing his opinion without getting unnecessarily nasty.” One poster admired the fact that he is “a good all round poster who is intelligent, articulate and doesn't take any ****.”

1st Round: 15 points || 2nd Round: 26 points || Total: 41 points.
Jordan. received votes from members for having “a good taste in X Factor contestants” and also because he “is funny.” Jordan is notorious for his double act with Stacey and their often hilariously offensive posts, but one member said “spoken to him a lot off the forum, he is a good laugh.” You’ll never guess who wrote the following: “he's funny and cute, makes me laugh every day. I'd be like lost without him here, the forum [and my life] would be so boring. Best member here by far, he's hotness too <3 and we make we best double act ever, our bitchiness is amazing and the way we abuse people. :')”

#29= - jedward fever
1st Round: 12 points || 2nd Round: 29 points || Total: 41 points.
jedward fever is a marmite member, with one member recognising this quality, saying “he’s an annoying little **** but he does sometimes make me laugh!” Other members gave him a nicer review, saying he “makes me laugh”, while another said he was “an extremely friendly person to myself and someone who I believe warrants a lot of respect. A very welcoming and genuine person; someone I am very proud to say I have come to know on the forum.”

#28 - arista
1st Round: 24 points || 2nd Round: 18 points || Total: 42 points.
Move over TiBB Staff and twitter robot: arista is here. Everyone’s favourite android member, nobody knows who arista is and many find his posting style baffling, humorous and fantastic. One member said arista is “the most amazing robot ever, and I want his babies.” Voters “love his weird one-liners and videos.” Comments on his posting style aside, one member said he “makes the serious debates thread active” and said “he would make a brilliant mod.” One member simply gave the following reason for voting arista: “no most loved list would be complete without arista. That is all.”

#27 - Thomas C
1st Round: 15 points || 2nd Round: 28 points || Total: 43 points.
An extremely controversial member, Thomas C was permanently banned but brought back on the condition that he did not put a foot wrong – he’s still here now, and no matter what people think of him, he contributes to the forum. One member agreed with this sentiment, saying “I don’t know whether to love him or hate him but think he deserves a vote.” Another member said his “threads make me laugh, he’s a brilliant member” and another person said he “is one of the most active members on the forum, he contributes a lot – most of it good, and he is much loved by me. If we all inherited a little ginger essence from our Thomas C, the world would be a brighter, much more colourful place. Thomas C is the bees knees!”

#26 - Rory
1st Round: 12 points || 2nd Round: 32 points || Total: 44 points.
Voters who picked Rory commented on his omnipresence online, saying “he is often ‘idle’ in MSN conversations I am in, but when he does talk, he makes it count” and “while distant (I think he’s having an affair with the idle status) is decent in every way.” One member voted for him because “even if he is a Film4 addict, he’s still amazing” and another because “he’s my soul-mate, obviously.” Rory was praised for “saying the things you least expect him to, he cracks me up every time. He’s also great for movie reviews, since he’s seen practically every movie ever released.” Another member mentioned Rory’s cinematic knowledge: “I love talking films with him, I can always guarantee that he’ll have seen some obscure film I like and he always has an opinion on some development in the film industry.” Another member said he “always hosted great games and was a good asset to this forum.”

1st Round: 15 points || 2nd Round: 30 points || Total: 45 points.
Once part of the notorious Brotherhood; Karl received votes because he “makes me laugh” and “brings a lot to the forum – while another member said “he’s an underrated gem.” He was commended for “his taste in music” because it’s “99% amazing, and he’s just overall a really sound guy – I can always rely on him to compliment me.” He is described by one member as “the most laidback guy on the forum, you always know where you are with Karl, he really couldn’t give a **** and I love that about him.”

#22= - TiBB Staff
1st Round: 9 points || 2nd Round: 37 points || Total: 46 points.
Dubiously charting, it’s TiBB Staff. The account was introduced so that any infractions given out by moderators would be delivered through it, to prevent any long standing vendettas being created through the old system of moderators directly infracting members. I always imagine him in real life to be someone who randomly says something hilarious at the right moment.” Another member described him as being “like the Turk to my JD (yes a Scrubs metaphor... **** off haters)” while another, hilariously, said he was a “fierce little slut. I want to grab him and rub my face in his ass. In a really non-gay way.” One bitter member *cough Dezzy cough* said “although he’s got a slight tendency TO STAB YOU IN THE BACK, he always manages to charm his way back into your good graces and forget the horrific deceit.” I think someone has unresolved tensions. James is “a bit of a quiet chap at times, but TiBB would be dull without our beloved Sheppy with the fetish for Asian people and brightly coloured guitars (though probably not at the same time.)

It’s the object of scott’s (pff simonsays > scott) affections: Iceman! Eoin was described by one member as a “funny guy, always worth having banter with, a loyal friend and a good mod.” He “contributes a lot to the forum”, and is “a crazy dude but he is opinionated and a good guy.” One member voted for him simply because “he likes Eminem” while another voted for him because of his “no nonsense approach to dealing with assholes.” He received more than one vote for his music taste: “sound guy who likes great music.” One member applauded him for doing “a good job keeping that freak simonsays away from him” while another member (who you won’t ever guess who it is) said of Eoin: “my banter buddy, who helps me to wind up Vicky and keep me amused in the TiBB Towers with his hissy fits.”
