Well, it looks like the Kabin is being rebuilt, but the Corner Shop still has half a roof hanging off and the Joinery is still a pile of rubble, so what will they replace them with?

A Strip Club perhaps?
Or they could just make them background shops like the ones that no one ever uses but you would see people coming out of them sometimes.

That'd be a shame, it'd be good if Kevin reopened the garage there

I expect the Joinery will be boarded up for a while before being reopened as a bar in a few months time. The Kabin will proably look identical from the outside, but they will change the interior set completely... The Corner Shop I expect will be rebuilt to look similar as it did before, but hopefully the interior set will look better & more modern than it was...

I hope they have the balls to change the Corner shop, I much prefered when it was first rebuilt

I can't see them spending too much on rebuilding them, considering they will be building the new set soon...

It wont cost too much to rebuild :p they don't have to rebuild them with real materials either

Well the Kabin & the Corner Shop were made of real bricks, so they will have to be re built with bricks etc.. The Joinery was just a wooden frontage though...

The Corner shop as it is now is made out out of fake bricks, only the back of the Kabin is missing though lol

The back of the Corner Shop is still real brick & only a tiny bit was replaced with fake bricks at the front when they re built it to look like the tram had crashed into it... They do of course still have all the bricks & they were reclaimed from real houses when the set was bulit in 1982, but it would look unrealistic if they didn't use new bricks for the rebuild...
Quite a bit of the Kabin was demolished, including parts of the roof, I imagine it will be re built exactly as it was, with just different signage...

Hi-jacking this old thread, I'm glad they're gonna reopen the Joinery, it worked really well as a secondary bar
