The maitre d' had decided such an exhibition were inappropriate for his clientelle, unless they were willing to pay. He passed them their after-dinner compliments: some fortune cookies. Morgan and Melanie locked arms and opened them together.
"You're going to shag someone special tonight if you don't, like, fall over and require stitching or sommat." Melanie blushed.

She should perhaps have paid more attention to the pilot. Looking uncannily like one of her other detectives, the pilot flicked the machine on autopilot (do helicopters have autopilot? For the benefit of this story they do) and got up. The policeman enquired as to what they were doing when he was suddenly shot in the forehead. A handcuffed Melanie was helpless to fight off the Killer, who had by now opened the doors to the craft. As a gust of air threw them both offbalance, Melanie fell into the Killer's arms - who promptly tossed her aside with force - she fell, 10 thousand feet to be precise.
