Zee, Ninastar, GypsyGoth, LemonJam and Braden ordered a rather large taxi (giving our usual driver, Iceman, a lovely day off) and handed their new acquaintance an envelope with their destination. The 5 sat in a tight group - Ninastar and GypsyGoth held hands, the others tried their best to contain their trepidation. On the radio they could hear "Intro" by the XX and Ninastar threw her shoe at the driver, momentarily losing her composure.

They came to a stop and climbed out perhaps a little too patiently. As the driver sped away, the group looked up at their destination.

They immediately knew they couldn't do a 'Scooby Doo' and search the place as a group, and decided to have a brief farewell. The gravity of their situation loomed with an irrepressable darkness; one of the 5 would not be enjoying another night's sleep.
"I guess this is it..." Ninastar stammered.
"Yeah. I'm going to go over here," LemonJam pointed and began to walk.
"Wait!" Zee cried and rushed up to him before presenting him with a rose. "Eu sempre vou te amar, Jorje."
LemonJam's lip quivered and Braden let out a whimper.
They went their separate ways.

GypsyGoth harboured a secret wish that if any of the five were to die, it would be her. She couldn't cope well with what she perceived to be guilt - and her hidden love affair with Braden would have to be outed sooner or later. She flicked on a torch and immediately saw a chain dangling from the ceiling in the distance. She knew what she had to do.

LemonJam had since dropped the rose, since its thorns were cutting almost as painfully as being separated from Zee. He walked briskly, looking on the floor for weapons to defend himself with. As he stooped to pick up an iron bar, he noticed a dead rat that was in an acute stage of decomposition. "Lush." he thought.

He could hear another detective's footsteps above him, assumedly Ninastar on the top floor. He and Braden shared the first floor, whilst Zee and GypsyGoth had the ground. He shone the torch as if it were a sword, ready to challenge any sinister strangers.

Ninastar, meanwhile, regretted picking the top floor. The floor was creaky, and torn pages from books littered it. She could scarcely walk without shaking, and squealed when a bat flew out of one of the shattered windows. Just as she began to think of home, she noticed a twinkling in the distance.

Braden was getting slightly irritated with the repeated screams above, and half-wished he could put Ninastar out of her misery. He shook his head to ward away such thoughts and took his eye off the floor. He stumbled over a loose floorboard, which exposed a small trinket box underneath. With a gasp of excitement he grabbed it and ran for the stairs, just as GypsyGoth pulled the chain.

GypsyGoth was sorely disappointed. As the chain fell to the floor, she found absolutely nothing attached. She picked it up and decided she'd use it in defence, should she need to. As she turned around she noticed the front door wide open and fear overcame her. She began to rush towards the light, when she noticed a figure coming down the stairs. She screamed.

The twinkling that had lured Aaron in was thankfully not in his imagination. To go insane at times like these would leave him hopeless - but little did he know any chance he had had just run downstairs. As he stood no more than a foot away from the light, he noticed it for what it was - a trail of gunpowder.

A phenomenal explosion from the top floor knocked Zee to the ground. Falling debris began to scatter around him, as he crawled to the back entrance - providing a lucky shortcut to the taxi. He hugged a dumbstruck Braden, who threw him aside and ran towards the front entrance - dragging GypsyGoth out from the inferno. The figure who had terrified her ran out quickly behind and embraced Zee - their love affair would live to fight another day. GypsyGoth was in a flood of tears as she noticed the three male forum users who were towering above her, and as LemonJam lifted her into the taxi, she cried for a dear friend.

The Stab in the Dark situation is difficult. Whilst it would be good indeed to say "haha, you were wrong, ____ isn't the Killer" and they could get revenge - it would also mean you've just proved someone innocent :p

But I've got some twists planned to vary the outcome - the Stab in the Dark doesn't necessarily lead to death. It just...always has done in the past :evilgrin:
