The National Television Awards kick off in a few hours, and we all know one of the biggest awards is The Best Soap.

We all have our Soap Awards, which IMO are more important than the NTAs [when it comes to soaps] and EastEnders always wins at that.

But who do you think will win tonight?

Corrie, EastEnders, Emmerdale or Hollyoaks?

I honestly think it'll be Corrie, probably was VERY close between EE and Corrie.
Also, Corrie is on ITV and ITV arse lick Corrie as the BSA's last year showed.

Plus, they did their over rated and unrealistic tram crash only about 5 weeks ago along with the dull Live Episode.

Where as EastEnders was on top form back at the start of 2010.. but that was too far away for some of the fickle voters to remember.

I don't see how it was overrated, regardless of if it was unrealistic, it was fantastic TV to watch. And it wasn't dull  a death a birth and marriage in hour, performed faultlessly by the cast isn't dull.

And EE was on top from @ the beginning of 2010, but since then the quality has declined, so it seems fair corrie wins, because if anything, it's been getting better as the year has gone on

Yeah I agree and its continued with good storylines this year too wheras EE has just become a shockingly bad programme lately.

Fickle? Eastenders always does the best at the Soap Awards. Eastenders is chuffin overated. At times it's a wannabe gangster drama.
Eastenders is only good when the major storyline comes up. Corrie is better in the long run and has better humour.

Corrie probably will but with the much better live episode, the departure of peggy, expolison of the vic, staceys exit and kat and alfie returning, EE should win!

I agree, Peggy walking out was a huge slap in the face.....

Kat and Alfie's whole break up make up thing was done to death years ago, stop doing it now its just pathetic.....

They had arranged for Peggy to be Archie's killer but Barbara Windsor decided to quit and it ruined their plans so her exit storyline was different, they then changed it to Stacey but Lacey had already handed in her notice and Santer said that she was their original choice talking bollocks:rolleyes:.

EastEnders will be the last soap standing.
Corrie only has another 10 years or so left in it.

Regardless of if they win tonight or not.

Corrie has lasted 50 years, they wont stop at 60, it's longetivity is proved by an ORIGINAL character returning 50 years on from his first appearance in the show...EE only has Ian Beale left

Corrie will have Ken, Dennis and Emily (she started in Ep.4)

But EastEnders caters for a younger audience aswell as a older audience aswell which is why it's important to keep the characters new and young.

That's why Corrie usually has an 'old' image.

Corrie has all 3 generations. Some young, some middle aged and some old. The Awards mean sod all.

Because an award shows it's popular....

I think in fact you'll find if it's getting good ratings, it'll be kept on air, and whadyaknow, Corrie is the most watched soap

Well they're bringing in Chris Fountain (Hollyoaks) to play the Duckworth's grandkid, then theres Xin, a student character, then Faye, the Windasses adoptive kid, Corrie has young characters too

I watch both EE and Corrie but prefer EastEnders so voted for them, I don't care if Corrie fans criticise me for that but it's a public vote and Corrie got the least votes!.

Corrie have a chance of winning next year if their fans make more of an effort to vote but the fanbase of EastEnders is strong and the competition is fierce every year...

If thats so then why all the moaning if Corrie lose?, if the Corrie fans can't be bothered to vote for their favourite soap.. although I understand some just don't want to LOL.

That was more down to Phil Collinson :p he's done wonders for Corrie, I can't believe he's got Dennis Tanner to return...that's like getting Annie Sugden back in Emmerdale xD

I don't know. But I voted so that's why I am complaining. I just think this is the reason why some Corrie fans didn't vote.

It's only an award, didn't see any EE cast bitching last year when Corrie won.. I can remember them accepting the fact they lost and looked gracious at the same awards show last year:).
