Some people obviously haven't seen Hollyoaks then:p.
They get away with quite a bit in the Later episodes which is an advantage:D.

It's because of the HD filming, not all the sets have been upgraded yet & most exteriors look shocking, you can tell its not real brick... I guess they are using soft focus to try & blurr out the dodgy sets (& actors) :joker:
Yeah it's a technique called filmizing used in order to rob back some of the realism HD has afforded us so as to make it look pretty again.

EastEnders hasn't gone "filmic"... I think they are just using different lenses on certain scenes, in certain parts of the set... In The Vic (which has been re-done) it is very bright & clear...
It may not have gone filmic but they are definately using some of those elements. I saw a few seconds of it on the HD downstairs and it definately looked a little glossy. They are probably just testing the waters.
