We are sorry to announce that James Sutton, who plays Ryan Lamb, will be saying farewell to the Dales this Spring.
It's been an explosive couple of years for James, as Ryan has dealt with murder, incest and not forgetting his dramatic spell in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
James says "I've massively enjoyed the last two years playing Ryan and been blessed to have worked with a group of such talented and supportive actors."
"I feel that Ryan's storylines have drawn to a natural conclusion and although I’ll be sad to say goodbye, I’m excited about what the future holds."
"Having trained in theatre I’m looking forward to getting back to my roots and exploring new opportunities."
Executive producer Steve November says, "James has been a much valued member of the cast and we wish him all the best for the future."
So, as we say a fond farewell to James, lets make the most of him by remembering one of his biggest storylines - when Ryan fought for his innocence in Ryan's Trial

Good news. Would be strange for him to stay with his on screen mother leaving. Never been a fan of the character personally, was never believable and wasn't given much good storylines neither so do feel a bit for the actor. I just hope Alicia is axed soon.

It's falling apart without Gavin there, the ratings are going down week on week, and they havent even announced a new producer yet
It's a shame Danny Miller isnt axed

He doesn't know a good thing when he's got it, if he gets another chance at a soap he's best sticking with it, he's not that good of an actor and should be grateful for anything he gets.

I don't think he's worked in the programme anyway,I don't see it as a loss really.
He's seems rather picky about work though,he may regret mucking about with TV chances like this in the future.

I've noticed that myself, Emmerdale has really dropped in quality recently too. I still don't see why they needed to kill Viv off, I know she was axed but to kill off such a familiar character and give her an appalling exit was just an insult to the actress. As soon as the truth comes out about the copper torching the village, I'm finished with it.

He had a good first year, but lately hes just been a bit of a spare part. I did love him in Hollyoaks during the McDean story though.

Even with Gavin I kinda drifted away, the whole Wylde saga went on for too long, now its the whole Aaron saga

Tbf though I blame the writers because in the end Ryan wasn't used much, he was dull and he didn't have much to do once it came out that Natasha killed Mark.
I liked him in Hollyoaks but McDean was overrated:p.

 Noo, Alicia is one of the best newcomers because she's loud, fiesty and fun with a vulnerable and caring side:blush:. I would axe Ella and Mia already because they don't have much to offer and they're cold...
So pleased Ryan and Faye are going!:D

Good. Dull dull dull. Plus why they need him at the garage I don't know. 4 people work there. Just how many cars break down in a small village?!?!?
