Okay, so the idea is we will be watching a series of BB like the first time it's aired and discussing it episode by episode.

Its gonna be 2 episodes per day and should take us untill the end of May :)

For all you late comers to BB this is a chance for you to see where it all began at Elstree

a few rules:

•No discussing anything further than the latest episode posted.
•No revealing the results of nominations/evictions, etc.
•No hints about things that happen later in the series
•Basically, discuss the series as if you're watching it for the first time, as some people will be.

I really want BB12 to have a BB3 sort of vibe. It was the first series at Elstree, and the house was massive, first to have a live launch, the live Saturday tasks, had more HMs and I guess it was cos it was Phil Edgar Jones' first series as exec producer. It was a great summer

But seriously, on first impressions I really like Kate, Jonny, Alison, Alex, Lynne, PJ, Spencer, Lee and Jade. Not so much a fan of Sandy, Adele or Sunita. Kate had the best VT. The house tour was a bit quick but it's so spacious and good. Sunita looks like she could be argumentative but think she's 'bigging herself up' abit in her vid. I liek the idea of a HM being evicted sooner than expected but Davina made it seem as though it'd be later that night. And Jade has a phobia of ketchup like me! :shocked:

Leave the thread if you think its so pointless but imo this thread is alot more creative,interactive and thought provoking than a most threads on here.

This is something all members can participate in and especially good for the younger members of TIBB to watch if they didnt catch it back in 2002.

The other way around usually means the public vote out someone decent and there is no chance to save them. I remember this eviction if it was based on public vote alone would have seen the other person going home.

And because BBs 1-4 episodes were only 30 mins it's easy to watch (Ok, maybe at a push with BB4).

I do think Jonny, Kate and Alison were my favourite 3 from the launch

I liked that ep 2 was on the Sunday so it covered the first full day in the house. I think BB12 should do something like that.

Anyhow, I like the holiday atmosphere, the games they played to get to know each other, and that people actually used the pool! It was just fun. Alison, Jonny, Kate and even Adele came across as fun. Jade was funny but a little annoying and Sunita looks likeshe's trying to fit in.

That part's true, Sunita just assumed Jade was too young to know anything. But to have a little cry on Day 2 kinda does show it was a daunting experience. She was the youngest HM of all 3 series.

Lol Nadia and Craig are funny ones. They were both on the BB7 Kit Kat ads, she was a contestant in UBB and he was there for the final night as well as that Dermot's Last Supper thing.

Kate has distanced herself from it and she looked traumatised when she went back in to the house briefly for Celebrity Hijack lol. Who could blame her?

Anyway, we're in 2002 doncha know? The only 2 people I wouldn't miss going on the first eviction are Sunita and Sandy tbh. Even though Sandy is the life and soul of the early morning live feed :)

I like that idea though because unless there's a big first night twist or the HMs have some really fun games the first night tends to be pretty boring. That BB3 ep 2 show flowed pretty well. The problem with when BB8 tried to condence 2 days worth of footage in to 1 single HL show was that it was messy. It wasn't the best of series but it had so many HMs that something entertaining must obviously happen within 24 hours yet I remember 1 episode where it started with a HM being evicted, completely skipping past the 21 hours prior to this

they just have a balanced perspective on it. It has its negative aspects. Craig and Kate have both gone on to form a career from it so they just want to move on in life. Must be annoying to have BB constantly brought up many years later.

Where did the Jade hate/dislike actually stem from? She's not been that bad in Week 1. I remember the press and T4 making a deal about her mum being a "1 armed lesbian body builder" so that might have thrown people as quirky but that's more her mum's story than Jade's. Sandy was probably kept in for the Live Feeders.

I don't believe Lee's words at all and I think he's gone off Adele as soon as she said she was a virgin. He's come off as a bit inconsiderate and selfish there.

Sandy's in the shower. Fit! Dear God, no one's ever done that to me on my birthday. Would you rather celebrate your bday in the house or on the outside with your mates? I suppose it's a once in a life time thing to have it in there but it kinda limits what you can do

Day 14 HLs!

I hate Davina's hair. How the ****** does Sandy have the least amount of votes? Lol at Davina: "Is Sandy's morning swim making you sweat?" Yes Davina. Yes it is.

Haha, Spencer hasn't washed his clothes since entering. Smelly git. That made Alex sit up. He's boiling his clothes like Kate did lol! I think that's what I would do

Alex vs Kate again. That kitchen causes a lot of the drama. Bring it back! At least kate's confronting him about it rather than bitch. Funniest moment of this moment: when Kate puts the oranges back down and one drops off.

Jade's making the problem worse and Alex is back to being annoying. Omg at Kate punching Spencer, she's mightily pissed off. Lol at "Where the ****** is Alex!?!?!" And Alex confiding in the camera. Smarmy tit. I'm on Kate's side.

I don't think there's much to Lee other than football and sex. He seems nice but he's not the most interesting. Alison's just cracked me up again: "I was thinking maybe tomorrow I can eat all the food just in case I get evicted and I can watch it on telly." It should be Sandy going. Despite what he was saying a few days ago about being in it for him, I think he's quite content in the idea of being evicted already.

Watching Alison's Eviction Part 2!

Omg the crowd is huge this week and they're all cheering. Lol, Davina's being a bit biased "Because I like her".

Kate might be argumentative but it's because she won't take sh!t from Alex. At least she's trying to resolve it. Eurgh, Sandy, on the other hand, is a sh!t stirrer. He only says things to cause offence. Maybe he is becomming entertaining but he's far from likeable. And now Alison's cracked and the tears are rolling. :(

This is twice now Alex has said or done something that's caused Jade to come out of her shell and be a bit snappy. Last time she did interfere but this time he did ask a stupid question. And there goes Alison again. Stupid public, should've been Sandy.

Live Task #2!

It sounds like the sh!t's gonna hit the fan. Judged as individuals and only 5 winners? This is gonna be good :D

It's started off slicker than the last weekly task, straight in with the instructions. Even the 6 mins of packing is interesting because it's already messing with their heads. Social experiment AND entertainment show.

The pacing of this live ep is a lot better than last week's. Ad break finishes and they're already in the garden and they jump straight in to the task rules again. Even though the task itself was still a bit basic it's more interesting than a little quiz and there's more at stake.

Kate is gonna hate being with Sandy, Sandy's gonna hate being with Jonny, Alex is gonna hate being poor, Adele's gonna hate not being with Lee and Lee's gonna love being with Sophie :D

Look at the runners! They're so fast. You don't wanna ****** with them. And there's the bars! I like that it ended with them still in the bedroom wondering how it's all gonna work just liek how Davina teases stuff at the end of the eviction shows. It just makes you want to watch the next one!

Maybe it's just my computer being a tw@t again but Day 16's been playing up for hours so I'm just gonna skip to Day 17 which seems to be working fine :(

It's interesting to see how the features in the house were already there (like the outdoor shower and stove) but they just seemed irrelevent at the time. Was it Marcus Blee that designed the BB3 house? He really planned it out.
*Sidenote: As much as I like BB9 it was pretty obvious there'd be a divide cos of the smooth blue wall textures on one side with the luxury bedroom but sharp red wall textures and b-block on the other. I liked that house but it was pretty obvious.*

Ah, so I missed Sandy say he wanted to leave. Didn't surprise me considering how grumpy he is and how he looked ready to go on Friday. And I've missed something about Adele and Lee but wow, good on her. He's just a horny git. At least she's trying to stay positive about being on the poor side and Alex is putting on a smile but he's obviously more irritated.

Ha at "Jonny's decided to kill himself." It's only been a day and the divide is doing wonders to their fragile minds.

Sophie's birthday! I do like to watch what BB does to HMs on their birthdays. And now Kate's on the other side so Alex can't complain about her, he's targetting Jade. And now she's taking it badly. Lol Spencer can be a joker when he's not sleeping.

I quite like Jade and Adele but they're being a bit petty bitching in the kitchen. They're simply jealous that they're on the poor side and dwelling on little things. Adele in particular atm.

The mood is really down today. They're all just quiet on getting on with their own things.

It's a bit weird seeing Jonny and Lee bond over being nominated. They're not exactly each other's biggest fans and I don't any other nominees who've confided in each other before.

So Sandy still wants to leave. What will the Live Feeders have to watch in the mornings? His graceful swimming was beautiful.

The tasks aren't great in BB3 and I'd have thought Kate would have been better at keepy-uppies than that.

Ooh err at Jade and PJ. It's a little annoying that everyone else is just styanding around in silence. I want to know what's actually going on in their heads! It's what the Diary Room's there for.

Ha, it's suddenly got really emotional with all the quick scenes and the wine and hugging Sandy. Part of me shall miss him. He's an enigma.

The highlights just prove to me that without never seeing live feed,just how much others must have missed out on.It also proves that the content in the highlights was just enough because most people who watched BB back then probably did watch live feed.I only hope that C5 can re capture that live feed magic and get more newbies and us oldies to enjoy what is the most important part of BB.

Yeah, LIVEFEED is great, but let's not forget it still doesn't make for any less arguments, for instance I thought Alex and Jade got a ridiculously good ride in the highlights, but were awful in the live-feed, but others feel/felt the opposite.

Anyway BB3 is a fascinating show, because it started a lot of the worst aspects of sleb culture, but actually was probably the last series that could justifiably call itself a "social experiment".

The way people divided over the first week of rich/poor side was amazing. The poor side even staying up all night singing raucously and going to bed as soon as the rich got up. Real us/them stuff.:blush:

Made me realise again that i disliked Johnny for being so aware of the cameras and calming down a lot before eviction.Loved Alex he was entertaining and so right about Spencer and PJ.Still dont get the love for kate she was so up herself looking back but she was probably the best of the bad bunch left.

She is one of my alltime favourite housemates.

Certainly one of the most genuine bb has had.

After watching Lee's eviction how harsh was Davina lol she used to be a very good presenter and not slightly afraid to offend or ask the evictee questions. Like how the evictees get a good length interview to.

I love hearing how the BB9 lot still talk to eachother and the BB10 ones have all kepted in touch and stuff, it makes you appreciate that the Summer really built friendships within the house.

But I wonder if even two BB3 Housemates ever kept in touch after all these years? Like Alison and Kate, it'd be a shame to think those two don't talk anymore. :(

I thought about this before. They are all sharing a once in a lifetime experience and you would think strong friendships would form after that but the only ones who kept in touch are Lee and Sophie i think and they got married had a kid and divorced lol

Alex and Adele still keep in touch,so do Kate and Alison.Davina was so much better in the earlier years at interviewing and she looked better too with much nicer haircut.I like the way BB takes no nonsense from them too.It was all far too soft in the later years.Its better when they are allowed to sleep in the day cos then they tend to stay awake at different times especially at night.Only having 1 hour of hot water should be brought back again but most of all BB needs to be tough on them but also let them have alcohol and fun too.Live feed makes so much difference but back then live feed was the main way to watch,i hope C5 get back to this and with multi camera choice again too.Highlights were just that in those days,just enough to bring you up to speed but want to watch more to find out what was going on.

Yeah, Spencer and Kate my fave couple too. I think as a bloke it was non-sentimental un-soppy and kinda real.

Kate and Alison are still friends, talked on twitter only the other day, arranging to meet-up. They both live in Brum, which helps I think. In fact a few months ago, they all met up with Johnny I think Alison went to PJ's wedding, Kate was stranded in Scotland so couldn't make it. I think Kate still speaks with Sophie too, and is on good terms with Spencer so that's not a bad strike-rate, considering it's coming up to 10:conf: years ago.

The first one was just available on rubbish streams on the internet, can't remember the second one's arrangements. Though there were complaints about what they featured, so I guess it was one screen.

It's not that I dislike Lee but he just doesn't do much other than whinge and flirt. I'd rather he go than Jonny. And it's Lee that's going! Wonder if Carmen will be there. Sophie might struggle because he appeared to be the HM she spent most of her time with and she already thinks people are bitching about her. I feel sorry for Adele but she seems to be doing fine with Jade and the rest of the group.

Day 22/23 HLs!

Rewatching the clips of Jade and PJ with the psychologist perspective I still feel a bit sorry for them both. It was just a drunken fumble that both of them regret.

It's always annoying when HMs expect the newbies to be 'fit' and 'good-looking'. I know they've been in that house for a while and they're probably do what interesting new people to come in but why always that type? Some of them are just too wishful they'll end up in a relationship with 'Prince Charming' or with the guys at the least just get laid.

Lol at Alex "It's 'techno blue' but I'll give you that." And Kate: "It's 'arctic silver' but I'll give you that."

Ha! I said about Sophie struggling without Lee! It could actually be good that Alex picked her so maybe she can bond with Adele and Jade a bit more.

How did that conversation with Kate and Jade start? It was a refreshing change to see those 2 interacting anyhow. Lol to Jonny and Kate pillow fighting and the Spencer/Jade stinky conversation.

Lol Alex is amusing atm with his monotone voice "It's starting to smell like a swamp in there sometimes." Jade came across as a bit bitchy when she was advising Alex and it's kind of true because he didn't really make much of an effort to talk to the others whilst Sandy was there.

You can see how edited that task was. Alex in the DR was a lot quicker. PJ's annoyed: "Shove his rocket up his arse and piss on it." Him and Alex weren't best friends anyway and on the plus side it gets PJ away from Jade. Look how much of an arse-licker Adele's being!
