Is the music changing?
Scarlett.
26-05-2011, 11:17 PM
Yeah, apparently they've got a new orchestra to record it, I'm not sure what to think about including interiors in the titles xD

Oh bloody 'ell. It takes me ages to get used to new themes and music :joker:

Lol, I hope it's a more traditional version than the Millenium theme xD
The new Emmerdale logo looks like it was made with a label maker.
Scarlett.

Apparently several different styles of the logo have been made, and will be used at different times

Press release
Emmerdale: Small village, big drama
ITV’s major re-brand of Emmerdale is being unveiled today, following a modernisation of the iconic show.
The new brand identity will appear for the first time on-screen on Monday 30 May and includes new opening titles, updated logos and a refresh of the renowned theme music. Emmerdale’s website has re-launched today www.itv.com/emmerdale, exclusively revealing the show’s more contemporary look and feel.
ITV Creative commissioned branding agency Lambie-Nairn to produce the re-vamp, which has been undertaken to reflect the programme’s increasingly current content and to celebrate its enduring success, as part of ITV’s long-term investment in Emmerdale’s future. It depicts Emmerdale as a dynamic yet authentic village of hidden depths where what you see isn’t always what you get, whilst maintaining the unique escapism of its stunning rural backdrop.
The new opening titles have been shot in HD and will immerse the viewer into the heart of the village, peeking behind closed doors and reflecting different elements of the legendary Yorkshire village. The sequence begins with a sweeping woodland shot leading to a glance inside three of the most iconic sets – the Woolpack, the Dingles and Home Farm.
A suite of logos have been designed to reflect the different facets of the village including brass and stone versions, whilst the infamous melody of Emmerdale’s theme music remains the same but with a modernised new orchestra recording.
The re-brand follows a £5million investment by ITV Studios to create a bespoke production studio in Leeds, which opened earlier this year. Emmerdale is riding high in the ratings currently averaging 8.5m viewers per episode, the only soap to have increased its audience share year on year since 2009. In the past 12 months viewing has notably increased by 13% amongst 16-34s and 6% amongst the upmarket ABC1 audience.
The re-launched website www.itv.com/emmerdale promises an immersive Emmerdale experience featuring an interactive map of the village and video profiles of pivotal characters.
Steve November, Executive Producer says “Our aim is to refresh perceptions of the programme. Emmerdale has a unique voice and we wanted to reinforce that by giving it a fresher, more contemporary feel, to reflect the richness and diversity of its characters and storylines.”
Emmerdale is produced by ITV Studios and appears on ITV1 Monday to Friday at 7pm with an extra episode at 8pm every Thursday.

I liked him too, especially the Charity thing:shocked:.
Loved Rosemary King, shame Linda Thorson was such a diva on set apparently and annoyed lots of cast/crew.

She pissed off the producers, hence why Matthew King dug up the coffin and mashed it in the King & Sons garbage truck xD

Love Them.
I love how the shots of the knickers on the floor and the girl's feet touching the guy under the table, try to make it like an intro for a Porno Series or Hollyoaks or something though.
But still love the new Theme Tune.

The theme tune just gives me fecking goosebumps lmao
