... is now lowered to "Substantial" and not "Critical"
Does it seriously matter what word they use?

There's always a huge risk of terrorism. It's stupid always updating the public on how severe the terrorist risk is..we know

Pisses me off. Like "imminent" I think is the highest? Or similar? I bet some poor people live their lives practically in bunkers due to it

I don't think that it really matters what word they use, if it's gonna happen it's gonna happen.
Warnings just freak people out I don't get why we have them. Terrorists are hardly going to wait until a sufficient warning has been released before carrying out their horrible deed. 'We can blow this up yet until they've been warned!' it's stupid

But if we were in Red Alert: known as Critical
Harry would be more safe Down South
as at that time London would be attacked
in some way.

But a Critical state
is the top of the list
and I need to know that.

I have to admit, I am puzzled at the wording they use, wy there just can't be low, high, or critical like arista says, maybe people's confusion would be eased.
You can't say you are downgrading a level then say there is still likely an attack at any time so then also ask the public to keep very very vigilant.

It really irritates me how we're like one of the few countries to word our terror threat levels with things like 'critical' and stuff. I'd much rather just a 1, 2, 3, 4 system.
That said I don't think anyone really listens to the terror threat level all that much anyways. It was on critical for months without a single thing going wrong. :idc:
