Must be pretty hard going cold turkey after that much alright. I never got the big deal with it though. I'd get mental cravings if I actually wanted to smoke but never those big hyped up physical cravings or feelings of agression towards people or inanimate objects.

I don't even know if I smoke. For about a year I've been in limbo. I say I don't unless I am smoking which usually involves drinking too. Then for most of the week I'll go back to being a non smoker. I love smoking walking down the road but if I do it inside and sit back down straight after I feel ill.

Well, It sounds like you only kind of smoke anyway, I definitely have felt like strangling people this past week! I smoked for almost 17 years though, so it is a big habit to try and break and I'm not out of the woods yet. I've been having internal arguments with myself all week, I reckon I've been thinking about cigarettes 80% of everyday, I've even had dreams where I can't have cigarettes :bawling: But it's getting a little bit easier everyday, I went for a run last night and it was the first time since I gave up that I noticed a difference, I was able to run so much further and actually talk while running :joker:

Be careful you don't die.

Alot of people seem to suffer from Heart Attacks and stuff - after coming off Drugs or Cigarettes if they've been using for a long period of time.

I called bullsh*t on that theory a number of times in school and at dinner, but my teacher and my gran both said that it's true.

Apperantley the body 'goes into shock' or something.

So yes, well done Niamh :) and please don't die.

Buying a box when your out is grand because you'll smoke the box. The trouble is rolling tobacco. If that's still around the morning after you'll be smoking it throughout the week.

Oh I couldn't go cold turkey! I have tried but lasted a day! It was actually the worst feeling in the world... I had a horrible empty feeling in my tummy and I just wanted to kill everybody, myself included.

I stopped once for a year and a half and did it so easily with patches I couldn't actually believe it.

I've tried a few times since though and its not as easy.. the last time I somehow managed to get up to wearing 3 patches at once! Bloody cheaper smoking.. :bored:

I'm definitely going to give it a try soon though..

Oh, do you remember the ones that were made of some kind of chalky stuff and they had a red tip as if it were lighting? Back when it was ok to smoke, they banned them though lmao

Out of fear that they promote smoking I believe they have now been rebranded as crayons.
