Can go either way really. At the moment there are no real characters and they all just seem a bit superficial but I'm hoping that as the weeks go on they will tire of being superficial and their true personalities will come out a little.

They're all too similar. Fake tanned wannabes. There's not enough diversity in the house either - all of a similar age, only 2 bisexual/lesbian housemates... but then maybe they won't be tentative about offending people this way

hate it they have all had minnor fame or something in the past all going to be fake

Love them actually!

It's very BB5.

It looks good so far. It will be an interesting bunch to watch.

As for BB5 there is one difference there were people over 30 in the show, although I agree it the same sort of mix of people.

Lets hope the tasks are up to those of past.

By "It's very BB5" I mean the housemates are exaggerated characters but not "freaks" like BB6/7.

Seems like a lot of tanned up nuts tbh. See how it goes.

09-09-2011, 10:15 PM
BB6 housemates were very argumentative, there were no freaks. Except Kinga.
Just loud characters.

BB7 had a bunch of freaks.

BB5 had a strong mix of personalities regardless of the age, and they were mostly feisty. This lot seem like a bunch of Amy Child's.

I'm actually thinking this year will be good. All under 30, i'm guessin alot cant control their hormones... Possible romances, kick off's etc. Pretty girls tend to be bitchy.. Maybe a fight for alpha male too. Then you got the biggest hoe from hollywood... cant wait... Thankyou ch 5, its gonna be great..

Do people like the normal series more than CBB?

I prefer normal BB to CBB as ive walked away alot happier with this launch night tonight than I did through the whole of CBB8 as only Jedward and Tara did anything.

TBH its a shame in some ways not to see more diversity in the fact that they are all quite similar in age, build and outlook. All fame hungry wannabes...but then thats what BB has become. Howeer because they are similar in that perspective it should make interesting viewing.

So far liking Louise and Aaron... early days though.:xyxwave:

It seems a good mix, I would have liked maybe 1 or 2 older people in but there is still a fair divide on age.
A long way to go, I will wait to see how all develops, there does seem like a lot of chances of conflict though.

I can't make up my mind, you could roll a lot of the housemates into one person to be honest. But after a little while I'm sure they will show their own personalities and stuff. The more I think about it, it's not that bad a lineup :spin:

BJ
09-09-2011, 11:59 PM
I'm really pleased with the line up. Glad they are all young. I never want to see another Carole type again. She just kept everyone under control and killed all the fun.

I'm also glad there are no real freaks although Mark seems to be playing the dim card at the moment.

After a few days their true personalities usually start to show and I think there could be a good bit of bitching with this bunch. With only young males it will be interesting to see who emerges as alpha male.

I'm not 'dissappointed', as such, because my expectations were very, very low - and the HMs do not exceed that expectation. In fact they may even be slightly below it!

I will look in on the show over the weekend, and decide whether I want to spend the next 9 weeks of my life watching the series.

On the basis of what I've seen of the HMs, so far, I'm afraid the odds are it will be a...... :bored:

what is the point of ch5 taking over BB and not letting us watch it live!!!!!!!!
It would be so much more entertaining if it could be watched live like all other BB over the years even if we could watch it online 24/7 for the true BB fans out there.I know i am missing live viewing is anyone else missing being able to watch the house live daily?

It's difficult to say when we've only seen them enter the house. How many of them, will live up to their VT ?

I've got a good feeling about this show and I like how they've gone with a younger group of housemates.

Woooo! Newbie in the house :)

Anywho to be honest with you, I'm a bit disappointed at the fact that a lot of them are in the industry. I mean you have actresses, models etc... or have appeared on television before. It's a full cast of wannabes. With that said it'll make the show very interesting because let's be honest, people rarely, if at all, go onto Big Brother solely for the experience, a lot of people want some kind of fame after it and so they should have if they've done well.

tweetypiebabe1
10-09-2011, 02:35 AM
I agree with you Zippy which is why they chose the people they chose. By picking all under 30s, some of which are trying to achieve fame & celebrity and some of which are quite arrogant and stuck in their ways, they are asking for hook ups, wild nights & crazy fights!

I'm very interested in this season.

Much as I'd love it to be the BB from the old days; that time is gone now, people are too aware of how thiings are edited, manipulated - too aware of the cameras.

It is like yet another droll 'TOWIE' type thing now: but I think it might be interesting, watching all those huge egos clash - and show who has the brains and the beauty as well as wit and likeability factor.

The ones that look stunning - may turn out to be bland beyond belief, lacking in entertainment and wind everyone up to the point that both the hms and public want them out (Aaron...handsome as he is: seems to be too far up himself for me to like...that may change) : and wee lesser, more normal ones less Alex might turn out to be hysterically funny, get on with everyone and end up a winner...... from that P.O.V. it might be interesting.

As you say time is needed to see how they start to react to each other.

Like you too, I have a good feeling the housemates they have chosen are a recipe for success. I am really looking forward to seeing how it all works out now.

yes kazanne it is to early to tell which ones you like. theres nothing to say BB wont put older people in < the farct they are all young is just magic in itselfs and we will see what sparks each other off even if they are all around the same age < love you BB

Barbie
10-09-2011, 02:21 PM
Too early to tell, they all seem very similar in that they are preened artificial young self absorbed people. But it could all change after a few days we might see that this isnt the case. I am glad theres no obvious freakshows like in previous years aka Angel (BB10) and Samantha (BB7)

Not at all dissapointed, I think this line-up of people will definitely keep me interested for 9 weeks... I was only watching two episodes a week after Ben left in BB11, I think I'l be watching a lot more.

The whole thing is a waste of time without live feed its just another crappy hollow show aimed at kids and the tragically orange.
C5 are twats for doing this they dont give a damn about big brother they just wanted the audience.

Tonight's show will be make or break for me. Going by past experience, at this stage I can usually assess whether any HMs are going to catch my attention to the extent the series will be worth watching.

This has really come far too soon after CBB8, which I really enjoyed and haven't yet quite got out of my head. So far BB12 feels like a major anticlimax, but maybe that will pass.

On the plus side, I do prefer the return to basics as regards the way the show is produced, i.e. no music, Marcus pretty much back to normal etc. I like the innovation of names being flashed up. Absolutely essential in BB12.... they are all so samey! Lol! :D

I was really cheesed off when I saw the launch night line up - I do like a good broad mix of housemates but I must say there is something morbidly fascinating about this lot - just wish we had live feed to see more of them and the melt down that I am sure will come at some point.

BB10 was full of half famous wannabe's and they turned out to be a great bunch. You can already tell by the forum that this one is creating a bit of a buzz. I can see it getting better and better, especially once Pammy is gone

Hmmmmmmmm.......................!

Very "curate's egg", i.e. good in parts, not so good in others. It held my attention for the first half hour or so and then I found myself wanting to channel hop. Not a good sign, I think you'll agree! I do concur with those who suggest Pamela is spoiling it. Why do they get these effing yanks for UK BB? Are they cheaper than British has-beens? ;)

Anyway I'm calling a halt on my BB12-watching... just for now. I'll dip into the forum, from time to time, to see what's going on and whether anything is happening, which makes it worth my diving back into the series. I have a suspicion I may not be alone in doing this.

Otherwise I'll see all you guys when CBB9 starts. Enjoy the rest of BB12 - I honestly hope it gets better. :)
