I really think that they were using Celeb Big Brother as an experiment so they got it right for the normal one.

How come?

Parents sent me to a boarding school and there is only one shared tv which I wouldn't want to watch BB on around 50 people anyway and the internet connection is too slow for streaming.

They weren't off talking to Producers and being told to be complete bitches to each other on the launch night in the old BB.

What kind of internet connection do you have?

Have you considered getting a PAYG dongle just for TV Catchup?

Edit: In fact you could get a Terrestrial Digital TV Dongle and antenna for less than £20 if you are in a reasonable reception area!

Not to put a downer on it but the better it gets the more I miss the feed. This is actually looking bloody fantastic. We have ten weeks of this. I could have watched that all night. Fresh in all the right ways. And it will add impact if they decide to chuck in some grizzled old 40 and 50 year olds after a few weeks.

no LF no Old BB

Absolutely true. You won't get to know these HMs very well, and the first few who are evicted we will hardly know at all.

I was happy there was less music, and a bit less of Marcus. Pamela though was pointless, her task was pretty boring and we weren't shown much of it anyway.

The program felt like it flitted around among all of them, which was good but not really 'highlights', it was more like watching a bit of live stream at times (though only 40 something minutes of it). The main focus was on the Geordie guy who is getting a good edit and the woman who is an escort or something who is getting a worse edit.

I really hope they have some decent tasks, and that Pamela doesn't hang around too long.

Zippy

its the HMs that make the show and there's quite a few crackers this year. Nicely desperate.

It wont.

Was on at a strange time and Saturdays usually rate very low.

Im guessing 1.2 for tonight but hopefully i will be proven wrong.

What BB needs is some massive contovercy to get people hooked again.

Great first HL Show, it seem back to the good old days & as someone mentioned in a previous post, in part's it was like watching the LF, i just wish they would bring it back, have been watching a lot of the video clips on C5 website today, just to try & get to know the HM a bit better, cause 45 mins of HL is just not good enough to form opinion on the HM's.

no they did this with the CBB just gone, the 1st highlights had a toned down editing style with no music as its the 1st night and too much going on, but then after that they added music! however they did have music in this one at the start and flashbacks!!!!

their nothing wrong with editing get over it! every show edited, infact what you have just watched has been highly edited you just class it as not because there is no music!

get over it there is nothing wrong with it, makes the show seem less boring! look how successful x factor is, just says it all and they edited the show to the point of lying and false, but who actually cares in the end

sorry times moved on, its about entertainment vaule not the sound of birds and mealinesses silences,

however i agree with you about marcus, the less of his voice the better!!!

Jake.

No. Entertainment value is not like the trash in the last CBB. And don't bring in ignorant crap about 'sound of birds'.

CBB8 was much better for me.

BB12 may get better when the house thins out, so to speak. I will watch tomorrow and decide whether I want to persist with this series.

Absolutely nobody - so far - I would lift the phone to Vote to Save. Not one.

Apart from the BBUSA style narrating, "coming up" and flashbacks I agree. The Real BB is back.

I knew I would like this better because I always prefer the main show to the celebrity version. And I am SOOOOOO glad the housemates aren't on the break up bits. This was edited just like UBB and that is fine by me.

Also the little bit of wrestling chat about DDT's and the Attitude Era between my two favs so far Faye and Tom was great!

Finally I agree that now the name tags make sense. When it was 8 housemates with some we knew it was unesseray. Tonight I needed it. I wasn't going "Ok which ones Jay?" Like the last few series.

I agree, there's no one I would vote to save yet either, I always feel that way on the first few days though then find I develop a liking for a few of the housemates.

Right now though, had they all been up for eviction,I would likely have not voted for anyone yet.

The music will be back tonight i reckon though.

Remember the new edit didnt really kick in till episode 3 of CBB8.

Really hope they tone it down coz it stops me from connectig with the housemates and looked on CBB at times like episodes were just 45 minutes of montages/best bits.

Really? How stupid. Thankgod I did'nt watch. Everybody knows nominations are the best part of BB.

And yeah they need to stop messing with them with silly gimmicks and blatant stunts to prevent certain HMs going. Such a turn off(although nobody complains if it saves their favourite HM!)
