View Full Version : BB Relationships (Poll)
I hate all the relationship talk, "this one fancies that one" "this one wants to sleep in the same bed as that one" blah blah blah, I watch BB to get to know the housemates, work out what they are really like and watch their reactions and stuff, not to see 2 people who that hardly know each other pretend they are loved up!
Do you like it when we have relationships on BB?

sometimes, if I think it's genuine, though tbh Helen and Pauls back in BB2 was the only one I really though was (I know Mickey and Grace are still together but I didn't watch that year)
Even if it's real its kinda annoying, because as soon as the producers get the slightest whiff that something might be happening we stop seeing the housemates in question individually and they concentrate on showing them together all the time in the highlights.

I wouldn't mind but when one develops the two people involved get 99% of air-time...

As long as they dont get an unproportional amount of airtime I'm fine with it.
Michelle and Stu
I like it if I actually see a relationship forming rather than just jumping into bed and sleeping together. I'm kinda liking what's going on between Louise and Aaron at the mo.. I loved the wee looks she was sneaking at him when they were cooking dinner last night.
I actually did realise though that as yet, I don't really know any more about most of the housemates than I did on launch night.. the majority of talk is either who fancies who/who likes who etc. I wish BB would set them like some sort of ice-breaker task which involves finding more about each person.

The worst thing about them is Princess, she has only just stopped going on about the ogre and John James lets not give her more ammunition
I hate the fake romances where they get most of the airtime. I'm also interested to see if Aaron and Louise get closer before Jay decides to make a move.

Yeah, totally agree Lee, that's why I liked Helen and Pauls, it was so sweet and innocent and before the whole "This could be a money spinner" mentality
I don't mind relationships but I hate when we start seeing every conversation of the people talking about each other, and other HMs talking about the relationship and it consumes the HL's

I rather see them all join in and play spin the bottle or something rather than the camera focus on 2 people in a more than likely "fauxmance".
Hate 'em. Most of the time they're fake anyway.

Overall no I don't. near all of the so called relationships never last outside the house anyway, also as Josy said above, once there is a whiff of a possible relationship then we mostly only see those housemates involved as a couple.

This is the one thing that irritates me about BB I simply don't care who falls for who. I don't want to watch anyone fall in love on BB. It's dull and eats away at the short time we have to watch in the highlights show.

Depends if I like the 2 housemates, which isn't often so no.
I liked Jeremy and Emilia's relationship in Celebrity Hijack just because they were from two completely different backgrounds and didn't really have a lot in commo

Well I don't even watch BB anymore so no hope of getting more obsessed :P But I did like when there was romances, same reason I love a lot of fictional shows.

They're ok, but anything near the JJJ standard is a :nono:
These lot don't strike me as the type to have fake romances though, dunno why

Yes and No. I think with situations like Rebeckahn & Aden or Josie & John James it gets on my effing nerves. My biggest issue is, because I have to admit I secretly want something to happen with Jay & Faye, that people aren't 100% themselves in the house. No one is. This is because they're in a completely different environment to how life is for them on the outside. So while their true emotions might shine through when you're put back into your environment with friends and partying and all that things might change.
I also don't like the fact that the public feel it's their right to know everything about relationships formed in the house. Yes, they're on big brother where the cameras roam and the public is invited into everything but when they're off tv, give them some privacy. Give them a chance. As much as I love to know what's going on myself sometimes you just gotta leave it.
And again I have to echo what many have already said, when it gets to the point it did with JJJ & now with Rebeckah & Aden where the majority of the house is consumed or it takes up the majority of airtime I just can't deal.

Not a fan of them but I like how Mikey and Grace have managed to go the distance, unlike the other BB couples.

I think the only 2 r/ships I could tolerate were Helen & Paul (BB2) and Michelle & Stu (BB5).

Generally, I don't like them. But I think there are a few potential relationships in the house this year I wouldn't be completely against forming.

Hate them when they are clearly staged.
Love them when it comes to ones like Michelle and Stu, and the love triangles - when they are genuine.
So in effect, I don't really care either way.

I don't like them when they take up all the time in a highlights show. I hated Josie and John James' "romance". However, I really loved Paul and Helen's. Michelle and Stu were ok at the beginning but then something went horribly wrong.
