Its illegal to fix a vote for something that people pay to vote for
But yeah it does look dodgy alright..

That doesnt look real to me :suspect:

I'm probably wrong.

Even if it is real, it doesnt prove its fixed, you can still get the percentages from somewhere else if you pay for them (or so i remember someone saying in another thread accusing c5 of fixing it). They wouldnt be daft enough to risk fixing it

Surely since all the TV voting reforms came in a few years ago after those high profile mess ups with people being charged but their votes not counting any show would by law have to give the voting figures out to whoever asked for them.

Maybe they are embarrassed at how few people might be voting seeing as the viewing figures are very low. If the press ran how few people are voting it might put off even more people watching and voting.

Without any clear numbers the whole series could be fixed / staged which sucks.

While I don't believe that they'd try to fix it your comments about being embarrassed by the LOW voting figures make REAL sense!

Maybe they don't want to release percentages during the show because it may show which HM's are the most/least popular with the people that actually vote.

However, if this is the case, then why don't they at least release the figures AFTER the show is done?

Without a base figure, percentages are totally meaningless!:wavey:

:( The voting figures are one of my favourite bits, I love seeing how much of the vote the evicted housemate got (well when it was a vote to evict) but it would still be interesting to see it for a vote to save!

If percentages are meaningless, then why is everybody complaining that the percentages will no longer be released?

I don't know if you or anyone else on this site would know, Vicky. But say someone did decide to pay to see those figures, as C5 had deemed not to show them, would it be legal or within their rights for anyone who paid to see the percentages to post them up anywhere? And no I am not going to part with any money just to see the percentages :D

Oh so what? Channel 5 are NOT allowed to rig the votes unless someone wants to fail jail, so stop with all that crap. And yes it might be fun to look at the percentages but im sure we can all live

Unless the owner of the information bound the enquirer to secrecy (and that would be stretching the law a bit) there is no reason why the purchaser could not disseminate the information (actual numbers NOT percentages) any which way he cared!

Obviously?

Unlike C4, they are a private company - so they do not need to.
I thought we knew this?

It is horrible.

Someone I know rang them on this and was told much the same thing, that there were no plans to release any voting figures. That was all they could say at this time.

I am not happy, we should have them, we should be told how the votes we paid for were distributed and since we paid to vote anyway, we shouldn't have to pay anyone else to learn that.
