From the evictee.

Yeah, I love that addition too Jordy

I hate it, ruins the mystique and pain of someone leaving. Its meant to be cruel, not like they are going off on a camping holiday! Also ruins the whole point of the 30 second goodbye and the tension of unfinished business.

It seemed ok and different (apparently from the Australian format), the family people there at the eviction seemed pointless though. Brian is better at interviews than before the crowd (where he still makes me cringe) and his catchphrases to the house, if I can even call them that, are not great.

I think this is the first semi-positive post I have seen you make this year

It has the potential to be brilliant.

I think she was mortified that it was shown live.
Brilliant idea, I am loving this evil BB. It's got it going on again.

Rebeckah's will be rather interesting next week

Yeah I agree. It could tell some home truths that turn the game. I bet Rebekkahs (aka Queen Hitler) is a mind blower.

Not a chance of rebeckah going next week

A brilliant addition to what I thought was a great eviction night.

Possibly. Vote to save will definitely work in her favour though.
Also, I doubt she will be nominated. The guys will follow their penises, and the girls seem to not be able to see through her.

It's a good idea but a blatant copy of the US goodbye messages but changed so that the evictee does the messages.

This BB is not evil lol...Far from it.
BB is the most kind, rewarding and caring its been to housemates ever.
Giving them treats for pretty much anyhting.

I think it's great that at last, after many years, they are getting lots of booze. It will liven things up.
I get the feeling that BB are giving a few treats now to keep them happy and active.
I believe the signs are there though that BB will throw in some curved ball - eg. the golden swimsuit twist and messages from evictees.

Actually, both on the block can say whatever they want before the vote. They do it live and in their faces. There has been some fireworks. Last year this speech changed the game....Andrew...

As I already said though it is apparently copying an Australian idea, the US goodbye messages were done last year.

The problem with those speeches in the American version is that they can tell you who is about to go and so can ruin the suspense.

Yes I'm aware of that, I watch the show. Hardly the same though, in their version the evicted houseguest doesn't get to speak to the housemates again in a VT like Tashie did.

The US goodbye messages have been done for years now, it didn't start last year.

Not sure when it started, but it was done last year which is what I said.
Sometimes twists like these can be interesting the first few times and then just become a bit predictable (like the heavenly day thing last year). It might be better to mix these things up a bit, though people might then say it is favouring some HMs over others. The biggest mistake is not to bring back Save and Replace though, that would have added a bit more drama.

Yeah the Australian show had exactly the same thing.
Used to start quite a few arguments IIRC

When brian first mentioned it i didn't think too much about it but when they played it into the house i though yeah this is a good idea, depending on who the evictee is it could turn out to be a fab addition!

I am just getting up to speed with BBUK. Long time watcher of US. I like the idea of the departing HG being a muck racker. Before or after eviction works for me.

Can you imagine the havock it could cause ie;
Say no one finds out about Rebeckah's lies re Heaven. Say Rebeckah and Faye have a bust up, and Faye leaves:
"Oh and folks, so you all know what a two faced back stabbing cow Rebeckah is. She made the whole story up about Heaven stealing chocolate, was she herself who told the group, then later, sat in the bedroom later telling Heaven it was Jay who told them".
I can see this being fun.

THey would probably say something before they leave though, unless they are weak and won't do things face to face.
Niamh.
17-09-2011, 10:45 AM
Yeah, if that happened ^ but it'll probably just end up with cheesy love you guys messages

If they do reveal their dislike for another housemate and give them some home truths, I bet the housemate on the receiving end will comment on them been evicted. Going in for the last laugh, so to speak.

Possibly, but then they have the dread of how they are going to live with their fellow hms during the remainder of their time in the house - as well as knowing that the public will know all about this too........ and will be ready for their eviction night.
BB let them hear all the boos for Tashie last night - so they are aware how she was received only one week into it. Mwwwahhhhaaa haaaa

Meh.
They should do what they did in BB11 (never thought I would say that...)
And have the HMs pre record goodbye messages for the evictee.

I love the way Tashie mentioned Harrys comments about women and Aaron possibly being interested in boys out of spite. Nice one Tash kick those dullards into touch!

I love it. Cos if I was a HM I'd be pissed off/happy (depending on what was said) and want to talk to the evicted HM, but obviously I couldn't, and it would annoy me and play on my mind. So if the HMs in there would be like that, it'll be really interesting to watch :joker:

Hmmm, this could backfire as people might vote out whoever could stir things up with their messages...maybe we should see the messages before voting opens.

BBUS had a fortune teller this year, seemingly taking the idea from Bob Righter. I'm tired of people accusing different BB's of "copying" one another. They're all Big Brother, they always use each others' features.
