There would have been a huge chance Mark would have been its lunch. Did he figure it was fake? Because if not its ridiculous how stupid he is (acts..)

I think they all knew it was fake after they seen it with Alex.

All of them knew it was fake right away, they even talked about how the house knew on BOTS afterwards, even I could see it was fake.

What I don't understand was why using a real trained Gorilla was out of the question, why not? It would have been far better and likely to be just as safe.

You say "even I could see it was fake" like it was easier for them to see it was. they didnt have a camera zoomed straight into its face

They had an even better view than us, you can see the face was too flawless / clean and the fur was totally wrong (i.e. faux fur). Plus he would have stank!

They wouldn't have even gone in if it was truly real, BOTS afterwards was talking about how they all knew the minute Alex went in.

Anyone who thought they'd endanger lives by putting a real gorilla in the house is as thick as pig-crap

Yet any other task can endanger their lives, I'm sure the bungie was far more dangerous plus any one of them could die from the crap they make them eat and drink on tasks.

If they didnt have the balls to do it for real they should have done something else.

You seriously think any HM (or anyone with a brain) would believe that gorilla was real?

But I thought it worked better this way. Having them scared when it wasn't real is part of the entertainment.

:conf:

You dont put people in a pen with live gorillas, let alone dress a person up as one and make them go near it

According to BBUKLIVE on twitter, they all did apart from Alex who though it was real for a while.

Are you saying a bungee jump is more dangerous than being put in an enclosure with a gorilla that has been placed in an unfamiliar environment?

You are taking factual calculations and comparing them to something no one knows. At best, the keepers could guess.

I thought it was funny with Alex but i was under no illusion that the HM had figured it out after a few minutes.

I actually think Alex was really clued up about the fact it wasn't real. Her eyes smiling gave her away :)

I think they'd all play along..... and people are often scared regardless if they know it's just someone dressed up or not (look at Titan)... but they all knew (IMO)

Because gorillas are wild animals. I don't want to see wild animals do tricks for the sake of big brother.

The man with the fire extinguisher just stood in a corner protecting himself, Mark was metres away beside the gorilla throwing straw at him and the guy made no effot to protect him, thats one of the factors that may hav convinced Mark it was fake.
