Its not unheard of to give someone a bit of a slap to calm them down when they are being hysterical about nothing.
In fayes case, shame it wasnt a punch.

We have all slapped, punched, stabbed or kicked our friends at one point in our life.
No harm.
[I haven't seen the episode yet, so I don't know if she physically slapped her or not]

It was more of a light tap on the face than a slap

It was really funny. I know so many people who do that when they are drunk and trying to calm down another drunk person.

It was only a 'play slap', girls do it all the time when trying to get thier neurotic mates to calm down!

:joker::joker: I was quite taken aback at first but when she did it again I was really laughing at it. I thought it a great moment and I wasn't sure Faye even noticed either. :joker:

Maybe that's how you treat your friends..... it's not my way, that's for sure.
I didn't think Maisy was right to slap Faye - though perhaps it was more to do with the fact that she, like the rest of us, is fed up listening to her whine, whinge, cry at any given moment. It's tedious beyond belief.

When Maisy slapped, I thought is was weird. Not all women do that. In fact, I've never seen anyone do that for real. But when Maisy called Faye Louise, that was a beautiful Freudian slip (which hysterical Faye didn't even notice).

Go on Maisy slap her tonight also.
I was hoping it was going to be like the scene from 'Aeroplane', with the other H.M's forming a line.........................

We were all playing spin the bottle and the bottle broke. But I still span it, it flew over to him (who was wearing no shoes) and cut into him.
I thought at first that I had chopped the whole toe off, but it was only the tip D:

She tapped her lightly when they were both drunk to get her to listen, it is relitivly normal and I get the feeling those making a big deal about it are on a mission to wind people up/be needlesly sarcastic.

I've never seen it done, and I've never done it to any other females - so I disagree that it's normal, relatively or otherwise.
I still don't agree with it - I do however think it was funny. Especially given Faye's being a wrestler!!! Would have been funnier if she belted Maisy back !!
