View Full Version : Waiting all night for Brian to announce a twist, and nothing.

It's like BB11 and BB10 all over again.

We watch the eviction nights and at the very end we wait with excitement for Davina [well now Brian] to tell us about a special twist that's happening in the house next Friday, or the next day.

Or inform us of a Double Eviction or something on Wednesday.

But nothing.

In BB9 there was almost always a twist or a little task teaser or something at the end of an eviction, I think BB7 was the same.

It's just so depressing when Brian ends the evictions with 'Go watch Sh*t on the Side, goodnight guys!' :idc:

And then we're teased with 40 seconds of Live Feed.

I want a little twist :bawling: but NOT involving new housemates.

We need a double really, because it's only on for a few more weeks and I DO NOT want like 7 HMs in the final again - that was a mess.

They need to do something brutal like live noms or something

Good. The only twist I have ever liked was the bedsit in bb5.

The rest can piss off.

I was so excited last night, the interview and message all ended at 11:25pm with 5 minutes left, as he walked out the eye I was certain he was going to announce something... but no, nothing. :( I thought this week would be the perfect time to do a twist, next week or the week after would be a bit too late for anything big.

Agree.

The interview ended at about 11:25 so I was like-

:amazed:

Is he going to announce something exciting?

Then he didn't and just went on about bit on the side and who's gonna be next evicted!

Brian is really starting to annoy me, before every ad break he goes 'who do you want to be evicted' and as the camera zooms out he goes-

Ugh that bugs me so much, He tries too hard to be one of those old 90's Gameshow/Talkshow hosts, like the way he walks out of the eye at the start and starts giving the crowd thumbs up and stuff.

It's like WTF.

I miss waiting anticipation for Davina to announce a twist at the end of the eviction night. It's such a let-down when it's like "...That's it for tonight. Bit on the Side next, and you can catch up with all the latest news on Facebook. bai x" :(

Joe.

Yeah and he ALWAYS does the same-

salute when he comes out the eye, then waves at someone, points at someone,

then the whole who's going bit-

then the end bit-

'catch up on all the latest news and goings on in the house on facebook, stay tuned for bit on the side'

I swear EVERY eviction is the same script for him.

Yeah I think Channel 5 are getting a bit lazy tbh, think they're just content keeping a 1.3/4m audience and hoping the housemates alone can sustain that, obviously throwing in the odd task every now and then. There needs to be more twists, and more manipulative stuff going on

It's Endemol that runs the show and makes the choices though, not C5.

Surely Channel 5 do have an input in how the show is run though :conf2: Either way whoever's producing the show is getting a bit lazy imo

They provide the budget and decide what gets shown, I think Endemol have to run some things by them [like they did with C4 in later years].

Now that the interesting HMs are being weeded out they need to do something soon.

I am getting sick of 'who fancies who' and with Louise, Jay, and Aden in there we can't rely on personalities to carry it.

New HMs might or might not work... but def a BIG twist is required.

Even better tasks would be a start, that gorilla one where they had to pick up bananas was not good enough in my opinion, not for the weekly food budget!

I know what you mean. It was always exciting when Davina ended the interview and there was still 5 minutes left and you're like :amazed: when she starts to make an announcement about some twist.

I think I agree with Vicky, I am not bothered as to a twist now, I think maybe Channel 5 and the producers have decided to just have this series run its course and make all the relevant and new changes next year.

Yeah I think in a way they're using this as a test.

Like in CBB8 - they tested it to see how we would react to the TOWIE editing and stuff, and no one liked it so they turned it down quite alot for BB12.

I wouldn't say they're letting it 'Run It's Course' just maybe - let the housemates do their thing and see how the series pans out without their interference and what works and what doesn't and then yeah, for BB13 - step up their game.

It when the eye at the end when i think there an tiwst

Same :(

If they don't get it right this year then there won't be an audience that wants to see it next year :/

I'm sure that's not true.

Look at BB10 - the least watched series ever [well it was until now ] and then BB11 gained alot of it's viewers back.

Even though BB11 was still horrible.

But that MAY of been because at the time we thought BB11 was the final series, so IDK.

I hope your right.

I would not prefer them to take the risk though and actually attempt to make this series great till the end.

I was waiting for Brian to say something as well at least a midweek twist would be good nothing to look forward to all next week except highlights.

There are still going to be 1 million plus viewers or more at the end of this series, that's hardly nobody.

CBB was a success,5 million saw the launch and 3 million the final, CBB will be the first series on again next year and so they will have that audience to capture for the main BB.

Also since the main BB will be on earlier in the year too, that will considerably help the ratings.
I agree with Patrick, I feel this series is just a test one,the main changes and I also believe that will include live feed and more footage, will likely be re-introduced in some form for BB 2012.
