View Full Version : Why not show the CONTEXT of Aaron being upset
Vicky.

The way it came across was that Aaron was being hysterical over nothing.
When he actually was offended that people would joke about someone being in a wheelchair because his wife was in a wheelchair for a year.
Over-sensitive a bit still...but understandable IMO if its personal.
What actually is baffling me right now, is why Jay felt the need to tell Aaron about the warning etc. I'm wondering if Jay knows about Aarons wife or not, because after tonights episode, it really seems he does not like him, and may have done it purposely to upset him (pure speculation though, unsure if he does know about Aarons wife or not)

he's finding it difficult in there but it's mostly his own fault

Its bad that they didnt show it in context, but his reaction was still class TV.

Never mind, apparently it did show him mention his wife being in a wheelchair(?). Must have been when I was chasing the cat into the hall for biting my shoulder :bored:

The thing is that Aaron probably isn't aware that it's a quote from a film that he likely has never seen (I haven't either, nor want to), therefore he thinks Jay has just come out with this statement. let's face it Jay often comes out with really offensive stuff, only this was a bit closer to home for Aaron.

He's a sensitive soul alright, but i think that adds to his charm,he really is a nice man with morals that are very hard to find nowadays.

Yeah, he did say it was the wheelchair bit he was upset over Vicky, and he mentioned his wife having been in a wheel chair too

Yeah he did mention his wife was in a wheel chair for 5 years  I don't think Jay knew that though but I'm not sure

Exactly what I thought Angus,it didn't look like Aaron knew what he was on about,so maybe he thinks Jay was out of line,

Why didn't they show faye hounding Aaron about her kiss with Anton

But Aaron said in the Diary Room "even if it is a quote from a film.." so I'm pretty sure he does know

C5 are protecting Jay and Faye for the most part as them two are meant to be in the final 3.

Actually, I think it's because it happened today and not last night.
Aarons "sweet sensitivity" is becoming cringe-worthy and predictable. If he throws a tantrum every time someone says something that offends him people will go off him.

Yeah they told him when he was origionally shocked about it.
He hadnt seen the film himself.

I missed this thread and began one similar, as I too was baffled at why jay went to the bedroom and discussed the warning, only for Aarron to be later shown distressed over it. Aarron is like a male form of 'the girl next door' quite reserved and obviously not use and does not like smutty talk. Faye put him down tonight too.

Maybe someone told him that after, but by that time he was already upset. Especially if it's true that Faye had been hounding him round the house trying to blame him for HER kissing Anton. Earlier in the day Faye and Tom had been intrusively rude about his marriage and they brought his son into the argument as well. Jay's remark probably sent him over the edge.

What I find odd is that C5 are showing so much discussion about his wife. She never signed up to the show, so her privacy should be respected.

Yes I think Aarron had a pretty tough day and edits havent shown enough to prove this.

Yes I find that very odd too.
Half of the HL show was about his homelife. :/
Also...did I hear jay right, saying that Aaron himself had said the wheelchair thing? :conf:
Im so confused by the editing tonight.

Mark to Aaron "you're looking stressed tonight"
I think Aaron just had it building up all day, and needed to let it all out, regardless if he was actually offended by the comment or not.

I think the realization i am slowly coming to Vicky is that this years BB editing team has a different ethos from any previous BB's. They have an agenda to create an Entertainment Product. Which is different from C4's Agenda which was more true to the roots of BB i.e "Fly on the wall" and a look at how people behave when they are cooped up in a house for 9 weeks. C4's priority i think was more context driven and C5's is more Entertainment driven and if they can develop a more entertaining Story then the context is allowed to suffer.

Aaron said too in the diary room that he thought Jay didn't like him. I think Jay is the kind of guy that if he knew of a weakness you had that he would highlight it and push it all the time.

Copy and paste job from the other thread because I cant be arsed to retype pretty much the same thing :p
I can see why Aaron may have felt it was a dig at him. They (jays gang) spent the day taking shots at him, he had been quizzed on his homelife for a while and already been upset about that. He was not there when jay made the original comment, Jay then went and woke up aaron to tell him he had got a warning for the joke that aaron hadnt even heard in the first place...that happened to be about someone in a wheelchair which his wife was...
Bit in bold...why?

thats exact ally what i thought i don't think it was done in malice he wanted to tell someone cause he was a bit surprised and wanted to talk to Aaron cause Aaron in his opinion would know if the joke was inappropriate.
the reaction that jay got shocked him he felt embarrassed and tried to hide it which made Aaron more distressed and could not believe what jay had said
i hope that made since

i think that 90% was play acting by aaron. when he was in "distress" in the diary room he covered his face with his hands. i figure he thinks Jay maybe a chance of winning, so he's made a big thing over the joke in an attempt to make him look bad to the public.
