i remember when big brother had a concept - psychological experiment
put a dozen or so members in a house, zero contact with the outside world, 24 hour a day surveillance
and simply observe
just observe the natural dynamics and social interactions of the house develop

Big Brother abandoned the original concept and lost millions of viewers

it is time for BB to go old school

1 - You watch Big Brother to discuss other people, not events and let alone ideas.
2 - It's a social experiment where you have nothing to do but talk, the people you're living in the house with sound to me like the obvious topic.
3 - I don't quite recall in any of the so called classic series many housemates being clever or having great minds.

everything you said is why the show has lost all its viewers

i want the producers to take a risk and go old school

how much worse could it get for them? it might be surprise success, nothing to lose

Will going old school make the show more popular though

I see my self as an Old school fan surrounded by New school fans in the BB Forum It's so rare that people are happy to just let the show play out in it's own way, and just enjoy the drama or except the boredom which is the implied deal you make when you watch a "Social Experiment" on TV which is clearly not what BB is today.

A lot of people will see the original BB as it was Day 1 boring and turn off, or maybe they will just except it and complain and it will revert back to how it is now.

I think though it has proved that you can't have a 12 year long Social Experiment and expect people not to try and change it into something else.
