How do you think Aaron’s getting on in the house?
He’s doing well. He was a bit shy getting to know people – but that’s Aaron. Other than what’s happened this week, I think he’s getting on well.
Do you mean the whole “kiss-gate” saga with Maisy?
I think it’s been blown out of proportion. Too much was made of their kiss. Aaron just got himself into a pickle. He wouldn’t have wanted to upset anyone.
Are we seeing the “real” Aaron in the house?
To an extent. It’s hard to tell because the public only gets to watch edited highlights.
Is there anything you’ve read about Aaron in the press that you think is just completely off the mark?
Yeah. “Randy Aaron” is ridiculous. And how he’s been portrayed as a “love rat”. That’s not Aaron at all.
He’s kissed two ladies in the house. Is he looking for love?
I don’t think he went in there looking for romance. I think he went in there as a single guy and, if anything developed, then it did.
Do you think he fancies Maisy?
I don’t know. He’ll definitely find her attractive.
So she’s his type?
Looks-wise, but not for a long-term relationship.
Were you surprised that they kissed in bed?
A little bit.
Was it uncomfortable watching your ex kiss someone else?
It didn’t upset me, no.
Would he have sex in the house?
No. That would shock me if he did that [laughs].
Aaron told Maisy he wished they’d had sex and they made a deal about “doing it” when they’re out of the house…
He would’ve been joking.
Do you think they will go ahead with their deal?
Time will tell [laughs].
Now that he’s kissed Faye, do you think he’s confused about his feelings?
I wouldn’t say confused because he wouldn’t act like that outside the house. He’s in an unnatural environment.
Were you surprised he kissed her after everything that happened with Maisy?
I thought he might have learned his lesson [laughs].
Faye commented on their ten-year age gap, telling him he’s more like a “brother or stepdad”. Do you think he’s bothered by the age gap?
No, but over time, it could become apparent.
Is it fair that people have accused him of only kissing Faye to beat eviction?
Obviously it looked like that, but it is a game show.
Faye upset Aaron when she told him your son would be ashamed of him when he kissed Maisy. Do you think that was wrong of her to bring your son into it?
Very wrong. That made me upset – it was below the belt. She didn’t have to bring our son into it because he would have been going through Aaron’s mind without her having to remind him.
Does your son know Aaron’s in the house?
He knows his dad is on TV and he saw Aaron go into the house. Aaron made sure he spoke to him about it before he went into hiding.
Does he watch the show?
No.
How often does Aaron see him?
It varies. It can be two or three nights a week because of Aaron’s work, but he sees him as often as he can.
You and Aaron are still married but separated. How long ago did you split?
About a year and a half ago.
Why did you two actually split?
I don’t want to go into that.
How long were you together?
About six years. We got married in 2005.
Did you have a big wedding?
We had a traditional wedding in the village I grew up in. We both had jobs in hotels, so we had the daytime reception at the hotel Aaron managed, and the evening do at the hotel where I worked.
Why did he chop his long, blond locks off?
It was for an office, sales-type job he got after our son was born – his long hair didn’t really fit in.
Do you plan on getting divorced?
We haven’t got any plans to as of yet.
Why?
I’d rather not say.
Do you think you will get back together?
I don’t want to go into it.
Do you think Aaron’s finding BB harder than you thought he would?
Possibly, yes. But purely because he hasn’t been away from his son for this length of time.
Is it hard for you to watch people bitch about him?
I realise it’s a game show, but it isn’t nice hearing people say nasty things about him.
Were you surprised when he threatened to leave the house last week?
No, because it was after Faye spoke about our son and that would have struck him quite hard. His reaction would be, “I’m out of here.”
Are you glad he didn’t walk?
Yes, because I think he’ll be surprised by how much he is being supported.
Is your son missing him?
Of course, but he’s coping. He understands that Daddy will be home soon and he’s looking forward to it.
What kind of stuff do they like doing together?
Very basic but important stuff. They have a mutual love of Star Wars and Star Wars Lego! They watch DVDs; they go to the cinema. They just love being together.
Does Aaron live close to you?
Yes, very close.
Tom accused Aaron of leading him on…
I don’t think he has. I think Tom has more feelings for Aaron than Aaron has for him. If Tom thinks a kiss during a game means something more, that’s his problem – not Aaron’s.
Are you surprised they kissed?
I would have been more surprised if he’d kissed Tom out of the blue, but they kissed during a game.
Do you think Aaron’s aware of how much Tom fancies him?
I think he is but maybe Tom’s playing a game…
Has Aaron kissed a man before?
Not that I know of [laughs].

I don’t think so, no.
Is it because he loves the ladies too much?
He’s not this randy ladies’ man that he has been portrayed as. That’s not the Aaron I married [laughs].
Do you think he’s gone into the house with a game plan?
He didn’t tell me of any game plan but, obviously, everyone has a strategy.
There was a lot of upset caused when he kissed Maisy. Why don’t you think he dealt with that well?
He thinks about things before he says them. So he needed to deal with what happened in his own time and evaluate everything.
