It's quite funny really.
Despite being a vile aggressive casual racist misogynist Jay is really popular (judging by Twitter and Facebook etc) and yet Channel 5 are not 100% sure that his popularity is strong enough so they are almost making BBOTs the Jay supporters club.
Even bringing on his 'Louise-in 10 years lookalike' mum on BBOTs under the guise that she was part of the prize throwing task and having a whole section to remind us of Jay's best bits in a quiz.They can't seem to shift Alex and Aaron's popularity and are not even bothering to hide the Jay bias, lol.

He will never win, even if he gets to the final, because he is horrible.There are bound to be 2 or three decent ones in the final, who in their right mind would vote Jay over them. Unless they rig the voting and I wouldn't even put that past them.

I don't know. Jay seems to be very popular with non forum public. No doubt they'll milk this getting dumped by Louise thing as well. Nice bit of sympathy for him :bored:

Woooahh. Are you kidding, Kate? Sadly, there are a whole legion of females who think Jay is the best thing since slice bread.
Some don't know about his freezer-****ting (Channel 5 are apparently covering it up),
others do know and think it's just high-jinx cheeky chappy Geordie fun (if Anton did it he'd be hated and removed for obvious reasons, ala Alex BB9)
Other Jay fans just don't care and think he 'iz fit'.
Plus he has got a legion of Facebook fans (extremely important voting demographic with 7p are vote) and a highly organised interweb campaign.
I can't stand the misogynistic thug but his campaign WILL prevail whether we like it or not. Alex comes from roughly a similar region but Jay's got the North-East local housemate thing stitched up (plus he's male). Aaron is popular but with a much older demographic who will phone vote (35p) rather than Facebook vote = less votes for Aaron.
Jay will also appeal more than rivals Alex or Aaron to the casual voters who either tune in every now and again or will start watching at the business end of the show. Jay is a Geordie which means he can get away with alot more as he cliche is that they are funny (the accent assumes this), fun, cheeky chappie/ funtime frankie (Jay wouldn't be as popular if he was from Runcorn, Swansea, Estonia or Croydon).
Aaron is too complicated for Mr and Mrs Casual viewer to like. He has flashes of being entertaining, insightful and easily the best housemate left and very very funny with one-liners (Toy Task) but then mopes and clings onto Faye for 3 days. Gem's arrival won't help.
Alex's dumbo act is being rumbled and can't endure 3 more weeks of scrutiny, plus she doesn't do enough on HL show (her best bits are Fake tan - engineered by producers, Barbie quiz - engineered by producers and Willy Wonko convo, and that's about it). I do like her but she may not even make top girl over Louise who's got the biggest Facebook support.

Jay really does appeal to the types of female who buy OK!/ New! and all related other publications. In these times of TOWIE and Made in Chelsea, Channel 5 want a winner who appeals to under 25s (especially tweenies and teens girls) to reinvigorate the channel and give it a youthful appeal.
Plus Jay can go down the lucrative show-mance route with Louise, or even Louise broke my heart blah blah. Like I said, imagine if Anton had pissed in a cup of pooed in freezer, he'd be out of the house. No warnings.
Aaron is too controversial (looming divorce, son, bed hopping, highly devisive character, changeable personality etc)
Louise will do surprisingly well (top female) despite having the charisma of a crushed grape but won't win. Louise will appeal to tween girls who love her fairy princess looks and romance with Jay. But grown women will hater her as she's the stunner their boyfriends fancy. But her aim is modelling/ acting so she won't be too bothered about where she comes.
Alex simply isn't pretty (if she had Louise or Faye's looks then it'd be a different matter). Although she's sweet she's not marketable (nowhere near the Brian Bello/ Jade Goody RIP league of stupid marketability).
Harry may be quite witty and charismatic is far too posh, rich and fox hunts.
The rest, to quote Rebeckah pale into insignificance.

I know this is going to sound awful, but with racist people I find they tend to have a for want of a better word, one 'Token' black friend or of other nationalities, and then state they are can't be classed as racist for that reason. Or a friend of theirs will say the same. Notice it is nigh on always 'One' black friend they state having. This then means automatically they are not racist? :conf: well I say bull to that. I cannot stand racism one iota.

Hmm yeah I see your point, I find it odd that they'd try so hard to appeal to the TOWIE/Made in Chelsea/Geordie Shore demographic though, given that - while those shows are popular - they only really pull in viewers in the hundreds of thousands whereas BB would typically be looking for ratings in the millions

The first mistake you can make with BB is in thinking that forum opinions are any kind of indicator of what the masses want.
These places are a law unto themselves.
IMO, right now, Jay would destroy Aaron.

It simply isnt true, not from anything we have seen, and just takes credibility from the very real reasons we have to not like the guy.
