View Full Version : Why is Louise ALWAYS touching her face or head?

I find this extremely annoying and very unattractive. Every single camera of shot of Louise shows her with her hand covering or touching her face or her head.

It's body language which normally indicates that the person playing with hair and face, wants people to notice them - plumping of hair, playing with it is a signal that they make themselves attractive. (ie; preening)

It's psychological. :)

Others, with experience in human behaviour, would suggest that it's an indication of her feeling nervous or uncomfortable in her environment.
..but hey, Louise is attractive so it's out of the realms of possibility that she could actually feel nervous; so let's just say that she's 'preening' herself out of vanity instead..

Louise is beautiful and she's been my favourite female from day one. However, I agree with Pyramid; I think she is desperate to draw attention to herself. I find it hard to believe she's a shrinking violet.

Even more annoying are her weird and contrived hand gestures which are often completely random and not done to emphasise a statement. It's as if she's posing all the time:bored:

Seems I was correct in what I said: very first link I've clicked on now.....
http://www.bodylanguageexpert.co.uk/what-do-nail-bitinghair-twirling-reveal.html
For example, hair twirling can signify interest and desire. Women in particular are noted for hair twirling when talking to someone that they’re attracted to. It is regarded as flirtatious and preening behaviour, perhaps inviting or inciting the other party to touch their hair.
But in other situations, as above, hair twirling can signify anxiety, incompetence, uncertainty or shyness
In Louise's case - it's my opinion that she does so for the reasons I stated - and why do I take this stance - because she's always doing it whilst she's speaking to someone - whilst looking either directly at a camera or a mirror.
She's the one who says females are jealous of her looks remember - so she's not shy as far as that is concerned, nor axious or unsure of herself when she's been hopping into bed with jay and snogging him in front of millions of viewers.

I agree,I think it's a confidence and/or anxiety thing.

I think she does it because she feels the way she looks is who she is and so when she doesn't look her best she feels sh*tty. That's why I think she has low self esteem and doesn't have much confidence in herself as a person

Y'all really think someone who's able to make a living out of being beautiful, and who probably gets many compliments every day has self esteem problems? Hmm. Not saying it's not possible, but it seems more likely that it's an attention thing.

I always touch my neck when am uncomfortable, so maybe she is always uncomfortable

I can understand why she might be feeling uncomfortable
Cameras watching your every move 24/7
Who'd be 100 % comfortable with that like?

when we feel uncomfortable we tend to worry more about superficial things like our appearance, instead of just enjoying the moment imo

Oh, I don't know... maybe a professional actress and model? She's got more experience of being in front of a camera than anyone else in there. And furthermore, there's no one in there more aware of the cameras or how she looks in the lens than Louise.

Someone who has a career in movies, acting, being on stage - someone who is used to having cameras around them as part of their day to day work. Someone exactly like Louise.

She's far more used to having cameras on her - than any other housemate in there. It's what she does for a living remember, so it can be regarded as second nature to her.
If she can spends hours in front of cameras doing shoots, and scenes - another few hours (less time spent sleeping) isn't that much a big deal. She used to them and if you've watched any vids she's in - she's very comfortable without an element of shyness.

Oh isn't touching your face (and not necessarily the nose) a sign of lying ?
oh...here we are: linky
http://www.blifaloo.com/info/lies.php
<H3>Body Language of Lies:
• Physical expression will be limited and stiff, with few arm and hand movements. Hand, arm and leg movement are toward their own body the liar takes up less space.
• A person who is lying to you will avoid making eye contact.
• Hands touching their face, throat & mouth. Touching or scratching the nose or behind their ear.
</H3>
Louise is never done touching her face and her throat/neck.

Its because shes struggling to act so she does the scratching to try and distract us away from her bad acting.

This is VERY true. She does have some very jerky arm movements in the diary room as though she has rehearsed in her mind what she will say but puts the emphasis in the wrong places - might that be because she is not actually feeling what she is saying? Who can tell?:elephant::elephant:
The little girl voice is a little grating and the small child body language (only in the diary room - nowhere else) is baffling.
She won't hear any crowd reaction this week because Justine is not nominated - so she won't get the big hint that he isn't too popular - you will have noticed that she only felt a 'connection' to him after the cheering when his name was called out 2 weeks ago.
She is bright enough to get film parts with an American accent - so she can't be really thick...

She's making sure she remembered to put her head on that morning. You'll notice afterwards she gives a little expression like "Oh yeah, foggot me 'eads attached to me shoulders me"

She needs to make up for the rest of us, who don't.
To quote the film
"The Average Person Touches Their Face Three to Five Times Every Waking Minute."
Which I believe is complete rubbish, BTW
