What we weren't shown on HLs was that they'd agreed to free Aaron next because of his knee, then Anton chose Faye to be vindictive.

As much as I loathe Anton, I do agree with you here and have said, pretty much, the same myself on other threads.

Aaron and Harry would have sabotaged the task (as they have done so before) regardless if Anton had picked Faye or not. If they wanted to get back at Anton then there are other ways to target him without punishing every single HM in the house. Again.
