View Full Version : Has the series been more, less, or the same entertainment-wise since Rebeckah left?

Was just thinking today about how all the Rebeckah fans were making doomsday predictions about the series going to s*** if she was evicted. We heard the good ol' "don't evict the bitchy entertaining ones then complain when it gets boring" argument time and time again, so now, 3 weeks down the line, I'm wondering what people think. How has the series been for you since Rebeckah was evicted (in terms of entertainment)?
Locke.

The same

I've gone for the same, I cannot be a hypocrite and say I think she should still be in as I voted heavily for Heaven. However Rebeckah would have I think wiped the floor with Anton, she had clearly worked his nastiness out very early on and for that I think she's a miss.

If Rebeckah was still in Aaron and Anton would both be gone by now, and we'd be a dead cert for a Jay and Alex final 2

I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure I agree. Rebeckah definitely sussed Anton before anyone else but I don't think she would have taken him down. She would have probably made a bunch of accusations and maybe had an argument with him, but based on the transparent way she handled the Heaven situation it'd be easy for everyone to see through her BS. I think she would've wound up turning everyone even more against her, maybe even made people pro-Anton
Personally I think the show's been more entertaining, we've been able to see much more of other housemates, and the development of the Faaron vs. Wolfpack storyline has been the best thing so far this series, IMO

Which would not be a bad thing! they are both as entertaining as hemeroids and twice as unpleasent!
As time goes on I'm watching it less and less... because it is boring me... too much focus on the two most irritating HM's. irritating is not entertainment!

much better without that gutter snipe, :yuk:common as muck,:yuk: tramp:yuk:
It's been much better... The Rebecca show was as boring as ****!
I couldn't actually stand watching her and her big fake horsey smile... not entertaining, not funny, not controversial and certainly not interesting. If she was still there, I wwouldn't be watching at all.

Definitely has not gotten better, people who say otherwise are kidding themselves and are just saying that because they don't like Rebeckah.
The first two weeks were definitely more entertaining than what is happening right now.

I think it's gotten less entertaining for me. It's still been good don't get me wrong but I thought Rebeckah was a great housemate and I wish she could have stayed in longer, the first 2 weeks were epic.

I'm not "just saying" anything. No, I didn't like Rebecca, and yes the show has now become more interesting now she's ****ed off. I just couldn't see how anybody could think she was good, entertaining housemate.

She would've been much better if Aden didn't latch on to her :bored:

I didn't find Rebeckah entertaining at all. If she was more of a bitch and less of Josie from last year, I might have liked her more.
She had one or two good bitch moments, the rest were her and Aden being JJJ 2.0

Rebeckah's eviction message was the best moment in the series so far for me.
I do agree that the Arron vs Wolfpack has been really exciting as of late. I think it would have been better if Rebeckah was still there. She only had two weeks and it's taken the rest of the housemates a month to catch up with her in entertainment value

Rebeckah was the perfect villain back in the early days, however I think the show has been even stronger than it was when she was in there. The whole Anton/Maisy and Aaron story was brilliant as is the feud that's going on between the two 'gangs'
A plus to Rebeckah going is that Aden doesn't steal all the air time anymore. The Rebeckah days were very much around the dull kid Aden.

Was not a fan of her as a person, but I think she was entertaining to watch. She was the first to suss out Anton and I think if she was still in there now, the arguments would have been phenomenal between her and Anton on top of the Aaron/Anton grudge match that has divided the house.

It's been better imo, she did add to the show no doubt but her story had run it's course imo and she needed to go so the dynamics could be mixed up and we get to see a new storyline emerge

Rebeckah's departure was the best thing as it allowed other characters e.g. Harry and Louise to be shown more. Her romance with Aden was boring and actually ruined her potential as he stuck to her like glue.
This is the only recent series when the middle bit has got better than the beginning.
The only HM who has been consistently shown on the HL is Aaron. I can't think of a single episode where he hasn't really featured except for the Burger task but even then he stole the show in the last scene when he cried in DR. Aaron's the only housemate who 's eviction would make an impact. Even Mark was forgotten about by the time Maisy left.

..im not sure i could have stood any more days or weeks of her puppy/lap dog Aden crawling all over her...i would have quite like to see her have a go at Anton though...nobody else seems to haver the balls.....two female wrestlers in there and not a put down between em...they should have got him in am armlock and pailed the crap out of him....now that would be his comeupance.....beat up by girlies !! lol...class

The two main characters of this series are Aaron and Rebeckah, because she left, many of the highlighsts shows have been focused on him, as I can't stand him, it has definitely been less entertaining for me.

Far more entertaining - it was boring as hell watching her carry out the moves that we all would predict she would, day after day.
Attention has been given to far more housemates overall now rather than that odious man-hater.

Fair enough, but you do realise apart from the bits engineered by BB (fake tan, lost lipstick walking, Barbie quiz) Alex's best bits have been engineered by Harry and Aaron eg Queen talk, Willy Wonka, post-ketchup fight make-up with Harry and ants stealing her chocolate in Uganda. I wish there was a funny witty female in the house this year. Sigh, the wait goes on.

More, she ruined it for me
So glad I don't have to see her and Aden any longer. Her eviction message was good. She sparked too soon and could not cover her tracks.

I think she would have been better if she had spent more time with Mark who was the only person she showed any warmth towards (admittedly it was because she fancied him so on hindsight I'm glad it didn't go down showmance route). Still one of the highlights of the series belongs to Rebeckah: on opening night she followed Aaron into the toilette when all he wanted to do was pee and ask if he wanted to urinate on her.

Bec was a great HM and was definitely top five, she was a bit bitchy but who isn't when being filmed 24/7
