I don't think they could forever avoid it, as the majority of peeps who watch will know about the incident now.
It's also cleared up the fact that it is highly unlikely Aaron was in on that dare, thank goodness.

I suppose this means the email reply from C5 posted earlier probably was legit then, guess they think that trying to downplay and minimise the scandal is better than covering it up altogether

Most of the tweets are along the lines of "Finally Aaron mentions Freezergate!" and "Jay is sick, I didn't think it was true". So the tweeters did hear the rumour but I'm glad its been confirmed now.

Nothing you see on screen, and that's NOTHING, is by accident. If they have shown this it's because they figure it's so well known that they are looking like dicks in not acknowledging it.
They might get it so wrong they need to further edit to correct themselves sometimes, but everything you see serves the 'narrative'.

True. But this is the first BB have actually ALLOWED to be mentioned about it. Seems the blanket denial has gone now.
Also, puts to rest the people who were making out that it was just the ex-HMs having something against Jay making it up ;)

It is however the first that the incident has been allowed to be referred to and shown, by a housemate still in the house...... who has not had contact with the outside world.

If they wanted to gag housemates they could have quite easily bound them up in legal contracts that made their appearence fee subject to conditions.

I'd say exactly the opposite. The fact that there has NEVER been one mention of this from any other housemate in the weeks that we've known about it - proves that it HAS been covered up over the term.
Now we just need some of the BB crowd to chant about it on eviction night :joker:

Given Jay's constant banging on about food and others ruining the shopping budgets/lists etc: it's highly hypocritical of him - given that the contents of both the fridge and freezer had to be cleared out.
Strange that he didn't have any issue with ruining food when it was a 'joke' he wanted to play - but yet, when other hms play a joke (ie: Harry) - he becomes malicious and spiteful by ruining even more food, and throwing out foodstuffs - as well as damaging people's personal belongings.
What a complete and utter hypocrite and loathsome creature Jay is.

tbh i dont think many people would have got what aaron said unless they read forums and see the evidence for themselves.we know what happened but people who just watch the HL show will still have no idea about it.so it really fell on deaf ears thats why it was shown on bbbots
