View Full Version : Task - You've Got Mail (letters from home)
Locke.

In today’s task housemates will get a chance to win a letter from home, but only if they successfully disarm a device.
The housemates are currently sitting pretty in the bedroom, but on Big Brothers call, will find nine ‘letter bombs of love’ in the living area. Inside each bomb will be a letter from one of the housemates loved ones.
The housemates will be asked multiple choice questions and the correct answer will correspond with the correct wire to cut. These bombs will be activated at various times throughout the day and the housemates will be charged with the mission to disable their bombs before they detonate. If the housemates fail to disarm the bomb in two minutes it’ll be boom bye bye to those lovely letters.

I have to say: some of the tasks this year have been incredibly well thought out with lots of fun to them.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this one goes.
Good on yer BB. Sometimes you do get it right.

I'm guessing the ones that don't get their letters will get another task later in the week or something.. they always find a way to give them the stuff anyway

...I hope they pass this....remember Alexsmum said she had a special letter to write last week.....
Aaron will be getting a letter from his son then

With BB this year, Aarons is probably from Antons friends, telling him what an idiot he is.

oh dear, in all fairness I do hope Jay or Anton should sabotage this task so Aaron doesn't get a letter from home. Only fair.

Aaron may consider walking if the letter is from his son.
I can remember it drove Stu in BB9 suicidal and he begged everyone to nominate him
This is reminiscent of a task in BB7 I think it was, when a couple of letters got burned. All the tasks this year are reminiscent of previous BB tasks. I wish C5 would think up their own new tasks.
Also think 'all' the housemates should get the letters regardless of a silly task that could destroy some of the letters.

but of course if they let 'all' the housemates get a letter then that would have also have been done before by C4 sooo..

Fact or Fiction?
fiction methinks - or wishful thinking.
I think tasks like this, are bitter sweet for the hms. Some take it positively, and with others, the impact of missing their loved ones seems to effect them all the more so after receiving these letters.
Locke.

Why would it be wishful thinking, I actually like Aaron :joker:
I just know that if I was in there and got a letter from someone I was missing as much as Aaron is missing his son, I would consider walking. As have housemates in the past.
You need to stop being so aggressive Pyramid you are scaring off new members.

Hence why I asked if it was fact or fiction - and added in that it may also have been wishful thinking?
you need to stop jumping to the wrong conclusions Locke and stop making accusations that are uncalled for.

The letters don't have to be part of a task though, why not just give them for reaching that far in BB. It's the tasks themselves that need to stop being rehashes of C4 ones, which is what the latest letter task is, a slight variation on an old C4 one.

I hope so - if they get the answer right. He hasn't had any contact fromt the outside yet and I think he needs a boost.

They've only been in there a matter of weeks. You'd think they'd been exiled to Siberia for years...

Harry's letter has blown up
He had a phonecall home last week anyway, so cant see him being too bothered
(Unless its true what they are saying on DS that Jay made him blow it up on purpose...but I dont believe that until I see it :suspect: )

If that's true then that'll secure Jay a nomination :D

If you must involve his wife, at least try to get it right.... Estranged, not ex. They are separated, not divorced.
As for restraining order - seeing as he's had no contact with the outside world for over 5 weeks....I kinda think yer just being daft now. :D

honest to god, how thick are both Jay and Anton - how the hell can they not remember what they say?
Especially Jay with his "I wouldn't say that"...(whatever the word was).
Geezus, It's been a long time since I've watched people who are as dense as these pair are.

I don't think it's that big a shock that two people might not be able to exactly remember something they will have said days ago

Hmm...i guess they've been ok. I might be a bit old skool, but i question whether the HMs need to be stimulated every day by a constant flow of new tasks.
Are they really that boring to be watched unaided by BBs task department?
Do we need to see em dressed up in novelty trucker fat suits, driving mini cars around a circuit and scoffing 8 hamburgers in 10 minutes?
Maybe we do, and i'm just old and boring..

I'd say the opposite to be honest, and I'm very genuine about that. anyone who cannot remember what they themselves said only a few days later - makes me wonder what hope there is for them in the real world - and I'm being serious - as far as working anywhere is concerned. Makes me question just how good Jay must be given he's meant to be a self employed plumber - imagine having to revisit a customer a few days later - and he can't recall what he said to them.
Good grief.

Harry's just feeling a bit sore I guess - but he needs to remember he had contact with his mum last week - something that the others didn't have.
Totally agree that some have better memory than others - these two show incredibly poor memory recall, all things considered - most certainly in Anton's case - the guy who is meant to be intelligent. IMO obviously.
