Respect has to be earned, not demanded. Anton has done zilch to earn one ounce of respect from anyone. Good on Aaron for not being a hypocrite.

Its respect to the situation, not Anton directly. Its not being a hypocrite at all, only members on TiBB will think his attitude is perfectly acceptable I tell ya  Faye got it right, he should think about his actions in the house more.
Not just for Anton's letter either... hes rapidly becoming my least favourite HM.

Very ignorant indeed, however I don't expect anything better from someone so self absorbed.... his lack luster attempt at an appology to Faye was a surprise, though his admittion that he hasn't appologised to anyone in over 5 years wasn't.... We've already seen his usual approach to having done something wrong is to sulk and strop till they offer an olive branch to try and stop it, then act as if HE is the injured party!

What rubbish. It's a game show, not a jolly house party. He doesn't have to get on with a single person if he doesn't want to and they are perfectly free to nominate him come tomorrow:thumbs: Delighted he doesn't play happy families and suck a*se to avoid noms, like most of the pathetic bunch in there.

What rubbish. Just because its a gameshow does not allow for ignorance, afterall much judgement should be based on personality and that certainly isnt something Id value!
I never said he should jump for joy for Anton, but simply sit there and have the respect to listen and be the better person. Like you said, its a gameshow, dont take it too seriously

Well speaking of respect where was the respect for BB when anton and a few other morons trashed the house with food,Anton has no respect for anything or anyone no reason in hell he should get any back,it's ok to pick up on manners etc when it suits, but it doesn't work like that.

Also what did Anton care about Aaron with his bad knee in one of the tasks, and so changed to letting Faye out instead, plus wanting to split the two up for the night.

Trashing a house and walking out on a personal letter to someone is a bit different...

Really?? Is there a law that says a housemate must sit there and listen to anothers sentimental letter ?? Furthermore, why do they have to read each others letters out anyway?? surely its a personal thing - not that they say much different from each other

How is trashing the house disrespectful to Aaron? Its not his house.. Anton might not be the most respectful person to walk the surface of the Earth but in no way whatsoever is Aaron! He could have just sat there and endured the boringness of letters but instead he walked off in the middle of one being read which is just unpleasent ..:wavey:

I think Aaron has had it up to here "being the better person" with morons and scum like Anton and Jay. You keep on about "respect" and I reiterate respect is earned, not doled out as a social nicety, whether it be respect for a person or a situation. Where was Jay's respect for anyone when he was shaving his a*se and then used the same shaver on Aaron? Where was Anton's respect when he was slagging off Aaron and calling him all the names under the sun to everyone? Where was Jay's respect when he sh*t in the freezer? Where was Louise's respect when she stole Heaven's wine? Where was Faye's respect when she draped her drunken self over Anton just to wind up her supposed BF? Where was Jay, Aden and Anton's respect when they trashed Harry and Aaron's clothes out of spite? I could go on and on at the countless actions and words of HMs who have "disrespected" the house and other HMs, but seemingly Aaron is supposed to just accept whatever is thrown at him.
As I said before, Aaron is well aware there are consequences and no doubt he will be nommed en masse tomorrow. The fans of other HMs should be over the moon as it will mean that Aaron is likely going to be one of the people up against their fave. Or will they? Good luck with that.

Urgh just seen it, that's actually pretty disgraceful tbh, the letters are always something that clearly mean a lot to the house mates when they get them and it's normally one time when they're actually all together and sharing in the experience, to walk out in the middle is just properly disrespectful and below the belt imo

I would hate to be involved with Aaron in real life in any shape or form. He is so self absorbed and paranoid and the slightest thing annoys him. Having any kind of relationship with him would be like walking on eggshells. Seriously, I can't imagine what anyone sees in him apart from his looks. He is good looking...but his personality and nature would tend to put anyone off eventually.
His letter today was just from his brother and was very short and unemotional compared to the love shown to the others. I don't wonder why in the slightest.

When your over 30 you might not have much family left, and he's estranged
from his wife ,not everyone can play happy families, he could be pretty much on his own, maybe a brother is all he has

The housemates if they have any sense will think very carefully as to nominating Aaron, they have little idea as to who could be up against him or how many even. They must be well aware now that if anyone is up against Aaron that the public will save Aaron over them.
I doubt even they will be like turkeys and vote for Christmas by putting up Aaron again after him topping the poll in a 5 way eviction battle.
As to the letters, I personally would have stayed while they were read out for all the housemates. However people must do what they think is right for them but I would have stayed for the time the letters were won and read certainly.
Very begrudgingly so though for Anton and Jays.

Yeah I know, but all the letters always sound the same "youre doing so well, we miss you, we watch you every night....etc" I would prefer they read them to themselves and then had a discussion in the diary room afterwards perhaps. Then we dont have to see the housemates pretending to be all over the top happy and excited for each other

Yet he was still man enough to sit through everyones letters even applauding Aarons heart felt message from home.
If Anton hadn't of been booed on friday or realised that Aaron is 50x more popular than him he wouldn't have even sat down and listened to Aaron's so I don't see why Aaron should do the same for him. Anton seems to think that by "playing nice for a week" he's actually gonna get the public to not think he's a delusional tw*t

That's cos Anton is a sly gameplayer ;) Aaron doesn't fear being nominated...

You don't know that at all you are only saying it to justify Aarons behaviour.
What?? :conf: That makes no sense in regards to what I wrote..

Because he had calmed down by then, he was pi**ed off earlier in the day at their behaviour with the frosted flakes, quite rightly so too... ;)

Saying he is not afraid of being nominated is part of Aaron's game plan. One of the greatest BB US players ever, Dr. Will used to ask people to nominate him. It was all part of his plan to manipulate people. http://i51.tinypic.com/n65kk2.jpg

I think the title only says Anton's because the thread was made during the show, just after it happened

Interesting! I understand Aaron's point of view. I also hear what Tom's saying, but then I also think that why are people compelled to pretend to be ok. Tom is moaning about Aaron not being able to tolerate confrontation, but on the other hand, he's also saying that Aaron should pretend that the rest of them don't have deal with the confrontation (the confrontation this time being Aaron pulling away from the group). Aaron just cannot win with these people.
