I would care if he walked, he may be a weasel but he adds a different dynamic as a male housemate. I think Tom's desire to walk is that he's savvy enough to know he wont win. He's a BB fan and is smart enough to know the only contenders are Alex, Aaron, Faye and maybe Jay. Why stick around in a contest he will ultimately lose. He probably won't even make the final and even then he's going to be the one who gets 2% and evicted first.

Also, I believe his desire to walk is in part due to the fact he has never really got over Aaron's rejection. He's slagging him off to anyone who will listen as he fancies the pants off him and hates that Aaron is hooking up with Faye. I think he fancies Aaron even more than Faye does. He cheekily flirts with Harry and Anton half-heartedly, but it's always been Aaron for him. He's like a woman scorned.
