Cant stand this pair and their attempts to become the nations sweethearts with their cutsey cutesy act.Whenever Alex opens her big god I cringe.She has nothing to say that I have any interest in hearing-Irritating babyish nonsense.They just want to float under the radar as the kids of the house and possibly swipe the hundred grand.

Yep they are the Sophie and Rodrigo of last year - very annoying.

I accept ditzy girl and gay (*bi*) guy is a winning combo (Sophie Rodrigo, Mario and Corin,Narinda and Brian, Aisleyne and Michael, Craig and Saskia etc) but it's predictable. I actually prefer each of them when they're with Harry than each other.
Alex's only crimes are that she is playing up the dumbo card and she does bugger all to entertain me. Other than that she is innocuous. Her popularity is basically a 'Stop Aaron protest vote' now that Jay is not as liked as his Jaymackray.com disciples had us believe.
Tom is just a cardboard cliche of what BB thinks Bi/ gay men should be like, but then again Jay is a cliche of what Geordie men should be like. Tom sporadically does something interesting but follows it up with a song about tin foil.
Harmless duo but neither deserve a place in final

Except that Jay is a 100% accurate representation of all Geordie blokes in their 20s.

I think Alex is waaaaay over rated. She really doesn't do much at all, other than pretend to be more stupid than she is.
And Tom............meh. Just meh

They really are boring and this is why the whole house needs to face the public vote. Get rid of some of the deadwood and let's keep the entertainers doing what they do best.

this, if Tom were to be evicted in a all up public vote, possibly Alex will be forced out of comfort zone and have to take more risks

True.
I don't think Alex is that entertaining, although she has had some quality moments with Harry and Aaron.
Maybe if Tom went and like you say she's out of her comfort zone, this could really develop her character.

No, I think you all underestimate how popular this type of friendship is. Because Tom is essentially (cliche) gay (despite actually being bi) his friendship with a girl Alex can be viewed with no romantic interpretation and seen on purely platonic terms, whereas there's a growing suspicion in me that Alex has a major crush on Harry which taints their friendship a bit. Alex was hurt when Harry poured water on her and was clearly upset when he called her Miss Piggy but gave him a 'hall pass' as she fancies the pants off him.

The only 2 HMs i really really really dislike are Alex and Jay
She just annoys me so much..She is just so obviously putting on an act and it frustrates me 10000x more that people actually fall for it

Nobody can put an act on for this long in BB. Over the years so many have tried and failed and all these 'die hard' fans should know this amount of time is impossible to put an act on for 24 hours a day.
Also, the housemates are with her 24 hours a day, and they all like her and seem to trust her more than anyone as they tell her a lot of her problems, so again she cannot be that fake.

You can, when there is £100K to win, it worked for Brian Belo who is not the brightest, but not the dumbest either. I remember when he appeared on BBLB a few years after his win and he was using words and concepts that require a bit more intelligence than the man who won BB by not being able to come up with many words for 'female' ('vagina person' springs to mind). Acting dumb is not that hard, acting more intelligent than you really are is a lot harder (q.v. Anton!!!)

They've were my two least favourite housemates at the start and that hasn't changed. They're bad enough to watch individually but the combination of their voices and their faces and whatever else they do is just...urgh......

But the only difference between Alex and Tom is Alex doesn't have opinions. I am coming to the conclusion that people like HMs to be passive and mute without opinion, the second a HM has a stance on something their popularity dwnindles.

Yeah maybe so but i do find her really funny, but on the other hand, I do like people with opinions, cause my favourite is Aaron, & he certainly has opinions.

Thank god someone posted this. I can't stand her. She acts all cute and innocent and like she's a dumbass so everyone likes her. I still fail to see how anyone could like her. Or Tom. Tom is a major prick too which nobody seems to pay any attention to, he's always bitching about people and then licking their arse and being two-faced.

Alex deserves a purple heart medal for putting up with Tom 24 hours a day.
I really hope she doesn't win. Who in their right mind would put one hundred grand in the hands of someone that ****ing stupid.
