Yes, it was on BBOTS, though not shown on the main program, same as freezergate and the diary room group questioning.

I think the producers wanted the public to think that the twist had been a total success fooling the HM's, but it didn't fool any of them except Louise for a short time.

I loved that on BBOTS, Emma interviewed one of the task managers and he was spouting how they had fooled everyone, even though BB and BBOTS had shown the footage of no one being fooled.

Oh yeah I was for the twist, but well this was a complete lie bt bb so I can now moan about it..I'm still for the twist though but think it's unfair because they were found out.

The result is still good though.

It's so obvious that it's only been done to save Jay and Anton, even more obvious than when they tried to keep Charley in constantly for BB8 but I didn't mind that because I actually liked her.

If they could keep the fact that they hadnt been evicted quiet, they passed their 'task' and got to put 2 others of their up for eviction with them

The housemates guessed instantly that they hadnt been evicted(which was cut from the HLs), Louise even knocked on the room they were ins door and was talking to them through it (also didnt make the HLs) and they passed...putting harry and jem up with them.

Along with being able to watch 24/7 live feed...and even diary room footage and being fed like kings during the task :bored:

I was under the impression that if they (Anton & Jay) did well in their task (keeping their whereabouts a secret etc) then they could replace themselves from eviction with two of their choice. Hence Anton's original idea of nominating both Alex and Aaron (as was mentioned on here). So I was pretty surprised to see on the HL show that they had to choose someone to join them. I think this was the original plan, but a lot of viewers went mental about it. Emma willis said on OKTV that they were having a meeting (crisis meeting no doubt) to discuss the nominations part of the twist at the last minute.

Either way, they failed in their task, so shouldnt have been able to change noms at all.

It is good to see that people power had some impact on the way BB had originally wanted this task to go. I would have hated for Anton or Jay to have stayed and, personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the back of either of them.

The twist was obviously made up on the spot right from the word go and they just carried on making it up as they went along. The whole thing was obviously intended as a get-out-of-jail-free card for Jay & Anton.

I thought that their task was, that if they managed to make the housemates pass the shopping task by making them scream more than three times, that they then would gain the power to make a change to the nominations. So that it was just : ensure housemates pass the shopping task = power regarding nominations.
They did manage to keep secret that they were actually trying to get the housemates to scream more than three times, because the housemates were convinced they had failed, and I didn't hear any of them speculate that Anton or Jay might be behind the task frights.

Thanks for that. Regardless of them finding out they were staying in the task room even the people in the house weren't stupid enough to believe that Big Brother would actually evict two housemates like Jay and Anton so quickly like that. Very weak attempt at a "twist". For me this is another signal I should just give up watching altogether.

The task bloke on BBOTS said the shopping task was nothing to do with Jay/Antons task. Apparently it was only for food and their task was seperate.

Though, obviously since they failed their actual task...during the crisis meeting, it was decided that it would be made out that the shopping task WAS their nom task too ;)

Because of the public outcry, the producers bottled actually allowing Jay and Anton to save and replace which I'm convinced was their original intention. If they're both up again next week, Ch5 is now on notice that the viewers aren't as dumb as they think they are. The only way Ch5 could save them would be to create an immunity task which, of course, they will win:bored:

I think so yeah. I think BB told them what the trick would be, then they had to choose which housemate to pick for that trick.
