When everyone was not even counting her as a threat to win she must of been fuming inside. They thought they won when aaron stopped rowing and was deciding who's vid they should show and alex was in the background rowing away.
Plus i thought the men were pathetic making up excuses and not giving the girls the credit for winning fair and square..it peed me off.

Yeah, nothing like the right motivation to make you determined!. She couldn't have the rest of the house viewing her VT now could she? She has to avoid noms for a couple more weeks yet!:joker:

Glad she won, everyone assuming she'd be one of the first to fall. And Jay, really? I mean he hits up the gym. He may have muscle but he seems to seriously lack will power and determination. Alex put him to shame yesterday.

She was even disappointed when Jemma quit. She could have gone on.

Like I said in another thread, I thought Jem was out of order making out Alex won because she let her. If you wanted to quit then just quit Jem don't take away Alex victory from her :bored:

I think she was only determined to win so her VT wouldn't get shown tbh.

Was her VT bad? I can't even remember it

Could someone clear this up for me....when Jay gave up I'm sure he said something like '.....can't be ar*ed for a cheap bottle of cava and a takeaway....' something like that. During the task, nobody mentioned the VT thing....I don't know if that was the editing. Did they know what the prize was going to be.....I'm not convinced they did but I could be wrong.
They also thought they were competing as teams which was clearly pointless

I don't really remember either, but I think she mentions her modelling in it and as far as I know she hasnt told anyone in there about that, I'm not sure though.

There probably wasn't heavy weights in it like normal machines, It looked like all they had to do was the action of rowing

I don't remember word for word what was being said and when it was being said, but I think Jay mentioned something about VTs in the kitchen to Louise. Maybe somebody remembers it better.

Alex was amazing in this, fuelled by pure determination to disprove the doubters.

Calm positive strength.

And what an act of love from Jem... she could have easily carried on but gave it up for Alex.

Stop referring to people as haters just because they don't like Alex as much as you do.

Well done Alex,but....I think it was a shame Jem gave up the way she did,we will never know, but it seemed like Jem made out she gave it to her, maybe she did...maybe she didnt...I think Jay gave up because the prize was really poor, look what they gave Aaron,a statue,if it had been money or a holiday for two,it may have been worth it...yes,the prizes C5 give are nothing short of poor and cheap.

Her VT wasn't bad though, she got big cheers when entering. I think she wanted to win because everybody expected her to be one of the first out.

Do you think Gemma might have known she was leaving and thus let Alex win out of kindness? I think that might be what she did. They all seem to have a soft spot for Alex and Alex is well under the radar. She might now start to be nominated tho when the other realise that she might be heading for the final.

At least she has never embarrassed herself or her family and never hogged the airtime - she has just got on with everyone and she seems to have really enjoyed her experience. Hopefully, the experience will help her mature a little as she is still enormously child-like (or that's how she has been edited). The fake tan was the funniest thing on TV this year and she won a place in everyone's hearts as a result. I hoped she would win the rowing task - she has said before that she can be determined when she wants to be. I just wish she had not said she never washed her sheets...it conjured up a bit of a horrible image didn't it?

I think Jem had had enough of the task and wanted to quit as Alex didn't look like she was going to quit anytime soon. Everyone expected Jem to win it and I think in order for Jem to save face she acted like she was doing Alex some sort of favour by quitting. And in turn taking some of the credit from Alex for winning it.

Yeah was a shock to me actually.

I disliked how Jem made out that she was throwing the task though, was quite obvious she just couldnt be arsed anymore. Why not just let Alex have her victory without pretending that she let her win? :bored:

Say what you want about Alex, but a few of the housemates have said it before and clearly it's true, but, whatever she sets her mind to do, she does.

I'm proud of her! She shows everyone that when it boils down to it, she's not just the little naive barbie girl people believe her to be.

I thought that too and noticed how jem stumbled when she stood up and waddled over to alex.Alex was talking about rowing until 5am and i think jem bottled it.

[QUOTE=mr rochester;4681935]Do you think Gemma might have known she was leaving and thus let Alex win out of kindness? I think that might be what she did.

I don't think Jem did it out of kindness she was being patronising and controlling as she is with Faye.

I believe she also wanted Alex and Tom on side before impending evictions. We've seen what a manipulator she is.
