Ok with Jem walking out this seems moot but what have they been through where they can't trust men?
I remember Jem saying she has never had friends like she has in the house (I'd be hurt if I was a friend to her on the outside(ok maybe not hurt)) and saying she's had a pretty crappy life and there's seems to be a lot of hinting at some scandal or misadventure.
We know Faye has had more than a few broken hearts (surely she as the common factor has nothing to do with it) and the family seem hellbent on screening all her future boyfriends.
So what catastrophe had befallen the twisted Palmers?
Does anyone know?
Niamh.

There is something weird going on with that family, it has been obvious since the first night Jem went in

something very strange going on Faye said that she hardly knows Jem anymore and 'would be nice to get to know her again' when she went in the house. Doesn't seem to me like a very close family.

I bet she's thinking twice about that now!

Ohhh boo hoo. I bet there aren't many people on this this forum who haven't had to deal with some kind of personal tragedy, or some kind of profound loss or hurt. People react differently to stuff that happens in their life, but getting hurt and dealing with the crappy hand you're sometimes dealt is all part of life's rich pattern. I hate people who blame their ill-manners and sarky personality on something that's happened in their life. Welcome to the real world. Get a grip and get on with it or take your angst somewhere I don't have to watch it.

How is Faye? 18, 19? She's still a kid and simply hasn't been alive long enough to have her heart broken that many times. What Pizza Face is saying about this is ridiculous.
