And he is revered and admired for it - Harry played the game and is hated for it. Don't you think there are double standards here?

Who's hating? What double standards?

Check every one of my own posts on Harry's comments.... I fully support him for playing the game rather well. Far from hating him: kudos to him.

See, that's the thing with being a reasonable BB fan which I consider myself to be : I'm quite happy to pay homage to a good game player.

Just a shame Harry was outclassed and outmastered by Aaron though. Harry didn't play it well enough though: otherwise he'd not be out. ;)

The only reason Harry was up was cos they all got screwed by Jem.

this Aaron fan here has said it all along.... Aaron himself said it the first week I think it was: made it very clear that he was aware it was a game and one he intended to play well.

I even said that as far as Faye was concerned, he was possibly playing her as much as she him.

I dont hate Harry for playing the game. I just find it extremely odd that he did a total U-turn in about an hour since leaving the house.

And if he was just playing the game, I really dont like how he told Faye to ignore her parents and go with her heart, and that Aaron was genuine, if he thought that Aaron WAS playing her. Since his main issue now (going on the daily star article) seems to be how Faye is going to get hurt...if that really is bothering him so much then surely he wouldnt have said that to her.

Another thing thats confusing me...is his goodbye message. If he was just playing the game inside the house and his game was to be mates with everyone...why carry it on even when hes out? His message could have been explosive like Rebeckahs

Actually, I have little interest in Aaron as a person.

You could have fooled me.

My interest lies with cult mentality and what causes and sustains it. I'm fascinated at the lengths people will go to remain a part of it - even to the point of denial.

"Interest in cult mentality", really? So that's what you're going to go with. Let's not dress a wolf in sheep's clothing now ;).

Have you ever thought that maybe there's an issue with your perception of Aaron rather than the perception that thousands of his voters have that consistently keep him topping the votes? You appear to be experiencing some hardship with the fact that the public accept and approve of him, gameplay or not.

What's the more plausible argument here. Thousands of voters astute enough to realize Aaron is playing to win OR Thousands of voters that so thick they need to be enlightened and rescued from their ever so obvious denial that they collectively seem to be suffering from.

I think either Harry played at being friends with everyone to avoid noms OR AFTER his convo with Faye he noticed something that confirmed to him that Aaron was playing her.

As to your second thought - that is a good point. It IS confusing. All I can think of is that the goodbye messages are made while still in the house and he hadn't, in is own mind, made the complete transition between the game and reality. But it is puzzling.

I very much believe what Harry is saying. My gut instincts usually serve me well and he confirmed to me exactly what I had been thinking myself all along. I think Harry takes the whole thing as a great big jolly jape, and sees telling it like it is as not as bad as some view it. He probably thinks it's all a frightful riot.

I believe he likes Faye a lot both he and Faye have critisised each other...doesnt mean they are being two faced. The truth is most fans don't like games players... they say they do, but they don't. Most like Aaron because they have fallen for his fakery, nothing else, no matter what they say.

Basically Aaron fans want it both ways. They want to see him as some master gameplayer who has "cracked" BB, and then they want to go and say he has genuine feelings for Faye, and doesn't use situations for his advantage. Basically they will twist any view to suit themselves and their perception of Aaron.

ergo: Aaron can do no wrong in their eyes.

Why won't he win if he's such a good game player?

Because there is another good gameplayer in there called Alex, and she has yet to be tried and tested with the public. If Aaron survives the coming weeks eviction which if a one on one will get a lot voting whoever is up against Aaron just to get him out, so it would be better if at least three are up, then I think he might be able to win, but as Alex is untested in evictions we won't know as yet.

ok jet, I agree with thesheriff. I'll say it too.

However, perhaps you'll agree with me when I say that it's not a level playing field. Harry left the house with Aaron thinking he was a friend whereas in reality Harry is now out of Aaron's earshot and slating him off to anyone who will listen.

That's the reason I am criticising Harry.

Harry seemed surprised that he was evicted when he had highest votes last week. It didn't occur to him that he had lots of support from Aaron's fans and this helped him to top the vote last week.

If you feel there was an implication, perhaps it was more on an affirmative level - one that you haven't considered. Ie; that I perhaps meant, "I am sure you did", but rather than type it out so very explicity, the abbreviated version was posted instead.

im sure you did,lol

ok jet, I agree with thesheriff.

Fair point. I appreciate logical and reasonable Aaron fans. :D

Well, Harry had you fooled, so why not Aaron?

I took harry at face value, whereas with Aaron I watched him more and watched his personality unfold, harry,on more than one occasion did make me wonder, but i just thought 'no' but seems I may have been right, for example when he told Aden he was one of his best mates(what?) then Anton, and I had never seen them be particulaly close, and Aaron ,Harry telling him 'he loves him'but that is up to Harry,I was just a bit shocked.

Well put BJ.

Not only that - he clearly thinks a lot less of Alex out of the house, than he did in the house.

Same with Faye, given that she valued and trusted his opinions - yet it seems he was happy to stomp all over her - (oddly enough: whilst he thought he was still in with a shout at staying over her and Jaye).

Now you're talking ....and he's got Jay standing right beside him, Aaron's quite nimble when he needs to be. He'll move just at the precise moment, pushing Jay into the return path of said boomerang.
