View Full Version : Aaron Love or hate him Aaron is now a BB legend

I think it's fair to say Aaron - regardless of winning the show - has booked himself in the pantheon of all time BB Greats: Jade Goody, Brian Dowling, Nasty Nick, Victor Ebuwa, Nadia, Freddie and Rex.
He proves that it's the middle/ posher class males who are often the best HMs (Rex, Freddie, Ben, Harry). The exception being the posh one who legged it in BB7
Aaron delivers what he said in his VT about not flying under the radar and being watchable, just in terms of
contributing to the series
and creating talking points
and
getting a reaction from fellow HMs - he's no1 gossip topic
getting a reaction from public - he's no1 most talked about HM this year
Just when you think you can predict what Aaron will do, he goes and does something opposite. Let's be honest, the last 3 weeks are usually the dullest and non-eventful weeks but yet again Aaron is serving up almost all the talking points on the HL show.
Take him out of the equation and the show would be BB4, dominated by wannabe alpha-male Jay (Aaron has stopped this from happening by constantly undermining Jay's authority in often subtle and ace ways) and it'd otherwise be a straight forward all-Geordie shoot out to the finish if Aaron wasn't in there.
Even his haters are more into hating him than loving their chosen one. That's how good a HM he's been. BB legend.
Is Aaron playing a game? Of course - he admitted it in his VT and reiterated this in his 3rd day in house. Yet he does game playing with panache, wit, intelligence and almost no arrogance of Anton, plus he shows other sides yet is an enigma. I highly doubt we are seeing the real Aaron, but i don't really care as he's what BB is about. He's single-handedly saved this series (and I think he knows that!)
Aaron's the first overt game player that alot of the public are getting on board with. Anton wanted to revolutionise the game, Aaron did.

He will be the housemate people remember from this year whether he wins or not.

I think the last legend to enter the BB house was Bea and the last one to get out was Marcus. BB11 and BB12 didn't change that.

Aaron is marmite, you either love him or hate him but you will always remeber him.
I personally hate marmite but love Aaron.

I think the fact that you like Geordies slightly discredits your point.:joker:

No, it doesn't and your comment is just plain ignorant.

But you talk about aaron just as much as the next person, I think you have said more about Aaron than you ever have about Alex.

Yes, I have, mainly because I don't feel the need to start arselickey threads about Alex like many do about their favourite housemates and because Aaron is the most talked about housemate of this series on this forum which is the only place I discuss BB so it's inevitable I've said more about him than anyone else.
Neither are legends.

she isnt a legend dont be silly im happy she has reached the final because now we wont have to see the prat on bit on the side for a week once the lights go down of the poorest series ever of big brother thats it forgotten.
this series is a disgrace to big brother.

Thank God.
Marcus still stands out higher for me then Aaron. I can't really pool this years BB with the c4 series because the over-edit killed a lot. I don't really care about any of the HM's. I liked Harry but now that he is gone I don't really care who wins. The couples emphasis AGAIN was horrible. Loosing 20% of the overall coverage to re-caps. Loss of old style editing where they showed short clips of the HM's doing random things. Although it still could be worst, it could have been BB11... At least none of the HM's irritated me like John James

Not only did they get it so wrong that they made it the first series in the world to not get live feed they treated the audience like they were thick as pig crap by trying to remind them of what they had just seen at every opportunity they got!
If you rate this series anywhere in the top 11 previous series of big brother then sorry but WUT!!!!!!

No, it isn't - in terms of sheer numbers, demographics and media coverage, Aaron comes nowhere near being a "legend" - hardly anybody in the UK knows who he is ..... :nono:
I have no doubt that, by Christmas, he will be completely forgotten, except by a few hundred besotted "fans" .....

Too early to say, I think no matter what happens he'll probably vanish into obscurity, can't see him being a "BB hanger rounder" but who knows I guess

Yes, Aaron will be a Big Brother Legend. He is compelling viewing and I have nothing but respect for the man who dances to the beat of his own drum. There are so many layers to Aaron and it is just great to see him do his thing in that house.

I agree, I also think that alot of people who dislike him now will look back in a year or so and in hindsight agree. I was like that with Bea.

I have a feeling there's one person on this site who is 'never' going to look back and think that ;) :joker:
Not just a legend but one of the top legends now

Legendary he is. Some Love him Some love to hate(dislike ) him.
I think he has played the best BB game of all time, only stepping out of bounds on a few occasions. I happen to dislike him for those few occasions.

This is an excellent description of what Aaron's taking part in this year's BB has meant to us fans.
I hope you don't mind but I have copied your post and put it on another forum.
Thank you for putting into words what so many of us feel.

What we need to do is make a checklist of what makes a legendary HM and decide how many a HM needs to tick off before qualifying
