A TAMWORTH woman has taken the crown in the Miss Galaxy Birmingham beauty pageant.

Twenty-one-year old Faye Palmer will now be competing against other women from across the UK to win the crown and title of Miss Galaxy England 2010.

"I'm thrilled to be going through to the final. I'm so excited," she said.

"I can't wait to meet the rest of the girls. I'm sure we will have a fun and memorable experience."

She added: "For me it's not just the final, I'm excited about the run up to it as well. Whilst I reign as Miss Galaxy Birmingham I really want to make the most of it.

"For me this is doing volunteer work with people who could do with help and support, helping out with organisations like sports clubs and reading clubs, and opening events."

Faye missed out on a place in the final series of Big Brother when it was announced she was among 79 potential candidates.

Her older sister Gemma has appeared on Sky One's Gladiators as gladiator Inferno.

Why do people quote Faye's mom calling Aaron "the chosen one"? She never thought that up on her own, she was just repeating what Aaron called himself in his VT that got shown to the house :P

I'm posting this kinda blind, as I don't know the facts, so would welcome any feedback. How old did Jem state she was? Was is 24? Yet when was Gladiators last screened? I don't recal it being shown for at least 10 years..unless there was a further series on another channel that Inferno stared in? My point being that she would have only been 14 at the most!

Wikipedia can be edited and adapted by anyone, it is not a definitive authority on anything. I should imagine her local paper which reported her getting to the final of the beauty contest would have been given her age from the horse's mouth, so to speak, so I'm inclined to believe the accuracy of the report.

Funny to think she might have been in last year's BB - I wonder who she would have attached her self to in there - maybe JJ? Lol how very different things might have been.
