Its a mix of both. You can play the game perfectly, but if the public dont like you, its no good as you would fall at the final.

I guess if you got all of the public loving you, it doesnt really matter how well you play the game as you could be up for eviction every week and you would be saved, and then go on to win. But I think its impossible to get everyone liking you. And at some point, if you were up all the time, you would go (look at marcus, survived 8 evictions...I think it was...but eventually left)

im not sure where the game bit comes in?? I think it is billed as a game show but when housemates try to play the so called game - be it they are vile and obnoxious to make people want to watch what they or who they will upset next..or get into bed with any old passing person or being sickly nice...people will always jump on their case.....some of the housemates have had a really bad ride this programme but maybe on the outside world they are not like that at all....is Jay really that vile...(or is it for the public respose/) is Louise really as dim as she portrays...Faye as argumentative with a loved one ....Alex as nutty..etc....etc......???? i know the length of time they are in there is quite a long time to keep up an 'act'..but with the prize money at the end..im sure they would have a pretty good go...if they have watched the previous shows they will know what the public like.......If every one had gone in there and been nicey nicey..no one would have been voted for - hence no programme....but this of course is only my opinioin!
and now i must go and lie down and have a large gin and tonic and recover from this long and winding post ! lol....
