View Full Version : Aaron didn't know about Jay and Louise's plan

Tom and Alex’s birthday tonight should have been an event that drew the housemates together to enjoy one of their last nights in the house. Unfortunately, though, there has been a bit of drama resulting from a watch and a pair of shoes that were bought for Tom and Alex by Jay and Louise. The money that the two used to buy these will be taken off their prize fund at the end: so what’s the problem?
Earlier in the day, Jay, Louise and Aaron were asked to the diary room. Inside, they were offered the chance to buy a selection of presents for Tom and Alex. The first selection ranged from £1,000-2,000 in price: they were declined by all three. Then, they were asked back into the diary room to look at a selection of gifts that ranged from £500-1,000 in price: again, they declined. The root of the drama came from the fact that after this point, Jay and Louise chose to go back to the diary room and buy Tom and Alex a watch and a pair of shoes respectively, which cost each of them £500 from their prize fund. Aaron was unaware of this fact, though. Still with us?
Good. Later on, when Tom and Alex's gifts were unwrapped for their surprise party, Big Brother delivered the presents to the diary room for Jay and Louise to give to the birthday boy and girl. The gifts were hugely well received, with Tom even saying that it was the ‘best birthday ever’: unfortunately, Aaron wasn’t as impressed. From this point on, very little was said between the two parties: Aaron has been walking away from social situations with them.
Jay and Louise have been really unhappy with this treatment, and Tom and Alex agreed that he was rude during their birthday meal. This has sparked a rant from Jay earlier (he’s stated that he ‘never wants to talk to him again’), and a whole lot of alone-time for Aaron. As of yet, there hasn’t been any direct confrontation: but the night is still young, and not everything will be forgotten tomorrow. Keep it here for updates…

Thanks for that summing up Headaball, been wondering about this.
So as far as Aaron new there was no presents being given at all and no further decisions to be made?
When the pair went back in it was a surprise for even BB?

i realy cant blame aaron for being pissed.
we have all had that situation. where one smarty in a group organises a group gift but leaves you out. meanwhile everyone gives a big gift and your left with your bargain bin dvd in hand.

Oh. I thought Aaron was overreacting a bit after watching the vids and reading the posts and the earlier stories.
But if this is what actually happened, he has every right to be pissed off.
Wonder which way the edit will go though, could make him look reasonable, or make him look awful :S

Not saying it isn't, but can we get links that support your retelling of what happened Head?
Otherwise it's just your story.

Jay and Lou have shown themselves up here tbh. They clearly did it for the votes.
They purposely went and did it behind his back too just to make him look bad, which if this full story is shown on the HLs...they will have failed drastically.

If anything they did it to make themselves look 'good'. How can it make Aaron look 'bad'? If he took it in good spirit and was pleased for Alex/Tom it would make him equally look 'good'. But either way its clear hes just conscious of the money and its nothing to do with the gifts, he thinks hes gonna win and the greed is taking over him.

Umm...because they got a gift and he didnt?
Also(and I know he wont know this) it seems he was right, as Jay and Lou made a point of bringing Aaron down when they bought the gifts ;)
Day 59: Birthday presents
‘Tis the season of giving (or at least it will be soon enough) and in this spirit, Jay and Louise have decided to shower Alex and Tom with gifts for their birthday. The couple came to the diary room earlier and decided to spend some of the money they were allocated yesterday from the 50k prize fund on lavish presents for their friends.
Kicking off proceedings, Louise told Big Brother: “just been having a bit of a chat, when I thought, ‘I’ve come in here with nothing, I want to get these guys something’.” Jay agreed, adding that it’s “nice to give.” The couple decided that they would both put £500 out of their allotted amounts, towards the presents, with Jay choosing a watch for Tom and Louise choosing a pair of shoes for Alex. Big Brother agreed to their proposition, stating that their presents will be delivered to them later today.
Aaron was initially in on the gesture, but decided not to go through with it at the last minute, much to the annoyance of Jay and Louise. Recalling the incident to Big Brother, Louise had a rant saying she knew Aaron wouldn’t agree, Jay adding - “what comes around, goes around”.
Regardless of this, they seemed genuinely happy with their secret plan. And we’re sure Tom and Alex will be even happier when they receive their presents later this evening.
That said, half of this story contadicts the new story anyway...as is often the case with the fb updates :(
Anyway, its pointless talking, as its quite clear we will never agree on anything this series

Yep, saw that...you could just tell she was bursting at the seams to blurt that out. Surprised she actually lasted 20 seconds! It's funny how the other week she was going on how she's not materialistic or into money, and if she won she would've given up 90K and kept 10K for herself. If she's not into money, then why mention how much the gifts cost then? :conf:

That was such bs vote getting crap that Jay and Louise did after all three said no the second time and decided to go in there without Aaron. I have no doubt that Jay talked Louise in doing that because he wants votes since he knows Aaron beats him every time. After Aaron calls him out on that he became malicious in talking down about him with the group and in front of the cameras to make him look bad. Then he tries to throw some bad acting tantrum to act like he didn't care about the money and switched Aaron's tag with his and yet again Aaron beats him by moving it to the rightful place and saying "Feeling Guilty", Aaron was right that he would never do that in the outside world that he is so full of it and trying to plant a seed to everyone both in the house and the viewers that Aaron is bad and trying to cover his own ass.

So what happened to splitting the money equally between them when they leave the house? Why did Jay and Louise unilaterally decide to spend £1,000 of it? A rhetorical question really, as there's no way they would honour that agreement anyway! And yet Aaron gets stick for supposedly only thinking of the money. How can people not see that Jay, Louise and Alex are the desperadoes?

Unless Jay and Louise are then taking this off their funds only, then Aaron is right to be irritated at not being consulted further. I personally would have gone along with the gifts anyway,it would be from money I hadn't yet got myself and so would not have begrudged it at all.
If it comes out of the funds designated for all of those 3 housemates,Jay, Louise and Aaron though then Jay and Louise plus BB were wrong to not consult him for agreement or his opinion.
However, still a 2-1 vote to get the gifts so fair enough really.

It's taken from Jay & Louise's prize fund, as per the transcript :
Jay and Louise chose to go back to the diary room and buy Tom and Alex a watch and a pair of shoes respectively, which cost each of them £500 from their prize fund.

Aaron is in the right here as always. Louise and Jay should not have spent that much on people they've known for little over 2 months, I wouldn't spend that much on somebody I'd known my whole life. Clearly was done to look good for the cameras. Is there anything these two won't do more airtime?

i think aarons ultimate aim was to win the main prize 100.00! as was all of them - thats the game......but when BB decided to split it and then the fiasco over choosing who has what, i think he has lost all interest and doesnt care at all now. Wouldnt surpirse me if he went before the rest now voluntarily....hes obviously not happy so why stick it out for half the cash, if he gets that at all....and as for the pass the dare task.! that was bloody stupid...they are sinking very low this year....nothing is anygood!

Jay and Louise are spiteful. They could have at least told Aaron that they had changed their minds and were going back into the diary room. I am not surprised that he is furious with them. They are trying to make him look bad. How ridiculous is that, giving people that you have only known for a few weeks such expensive presents and shame on BB for suggesting it in the first place. Ah well, easy come, easy go...the money won't last 2 minutes in their pockets
mr rochester
07-11-2011, 06:34 PM
Aaaron only has 990 pounds so it would seem highly silly for him to contribute the major portion of it to buy expensive birthday presents - when he has a small child to buy gifts for when he gets out. He has clearly stated he does not care for the people left in so if he was seen to waste money on Birthday gifts for them he would come under fire for not sticking to his principals...Did BB offer gifts which cost less? i.e a token present? The expense of the grand gesture was somewhat over egged imo. It's all getting too silly now...

Yep. It was shoddy and completely sneaky, as well as totally out of order to do this, without his knowledge, agreement or him being given a further choice whether to say yes or no.
Aaron in a strop? Theres something to look forward to......
You seriously think Aaron is in the wrong to have been excluded from this further development, you think he is wrong for having believed he, Jay and Louise had come to an agreement, for them to then decide to change their minds, and not mention this to Aaron, to not involve Aaron quite deliberately - you think that he isn't entitled to have been annoyed and majorily pissed off about that?

Well he does. Watch his face.
He has said he might as well not be there. Reason? £50,000 is probably way short of the amount he has set his heart on. Wont go far IF he is planning a divorce.
He might get photoshoots if he stops moaning.
He is a BB expert and he knew perfectly well that the house would not be full of Aarons whatever that might be.
As it is if he wins the others will get nothing based on the rules that were first read out.
