I agree with the OP that Jay has a lot of good qualities and is a warm hearted, straight forward guy. He can be gross, there is no denying that, but for me that doesn't detract from the basic niceness and sincerity that I see in him. I'm sure he is as capable as the next person of doing things to further his own interests (as we all are) but I think he isn't a duplicitous or manipulative person by nature, far from it. Most of the time he is quite guileless.
I'm quite surprised that I like him so much given his crudity, but there is something basically good and honest about the guy that is disarming.

Aaron is definitely a great housemate and so is Jay. I just don't have the same kind of sense of humour Aaron has and I just can't seem to have fun watching him and that's the only reason I don't think he deserves to win.
