Because people always tell others how much they spent on gifts...right? ;)

Louise made a point of saying this. I think its quite clear that SHE (unsure about jay but he didnt seem happy spending it anyway) did this for the viewers, not for Tom and Alex

I'd make a point about it if I spent £500 on someone else. But somehow I don't think this thread would have been made if it was Aaron that did it

Totally agree with you Vicky!
Tonight's episode has just been another desperate attempt by BB to make Aaron look as bad as possible!
Total sham of a series.

Tom: It's not the present or the value, it's that you thought of buying us presents.

I didn't notice them doing that, did you?

Actually I would find it distasteful and transparent whoever did it :p

Its not the buying of the presents at all. Its the making a point of saying how much they cost...3 times so far in the HLs...bet it was more than that overall :joker:

Yes and just to make sure they missed it the first time we'll say it again.

And then after we've told them that we won't tell them what we're upset about because we don't want to mess up their birthday we'll ruin the party anyway and mention that Aaron didn't contribute towards the present and we're pissed off because he's upset about it and telling us we did it for the cameras.....and we'll bang on and on about it for hours afterwards.

Errr, yeah OK *confused* so not trying to look really nice and generous and grab some extra votes then.

Both Louise and Jay are doing my head in, they definitely IMO did that for the viewers... Jay is such an aggressive person...

Telling someone how much you paid for their present is pretty tacky imo.

It's tacky, crass and is done not because you are happy to be a giver: it's that you want to be given credit for HOW MUCH you spent on them.

It's beyond any accepable social norm to do this.

Especially when within 5 mins of telling BB in the diary room to go for it, she was bitching about having bought it for Alex despite Alex not sharing things with her....... and the immortal words, "you dont give to receive, but...."

Vapid, shallow, vindictive floosie - that's Louise.

Or jay as a hotdog.

We arent discussing BB, we are discussing two housemates: both of whom claim to be 'very normal, nice people'. They are far from it.

No Aaron thinks he is a gentleman, and he is correct to think that.

Jay is far worse than a bone head. Difference is: he doesn't think he is.

I was convinced the minute they decided NOT to mention to Aaron, and then had my feelings reaffirmed when they had left the diary room, straight to the bedroom and Louise bitched like hell about Alex not allowing her to share her stuff with her - and gave it the "You don't give to receive.. BUT"...... (ie: But in this case, I will coz the public will think I'm just too kind).

wrong Louise. All you did was finally allow those who didn't see past your beauty in the first weeks: see exactly why others of us never took to you in the first place..... that 'thing' that 'can't quite put my finger on it' gut feeling many of us had: it's come to fruition.

After Jay's threats and aggressive behaviour and attitute last night: in the cold light of day, his thick brain has finally allowed the truth to seep in: and that is: Aaron is correct - the public will see right through this and the one person he is raging with, isn't Aaron. It's himself - and Louise. ;)

I think what Jay and Louise fail to comprehend is that if they had gone in and asked to buy a present for Tom and Alex that would have been a lovely gesture - but the fact that BB called them in to ask them to spend their money on a present is something very different - if BB hadn't asked they wouldn't even have given it a second thought - as it was they thought they could use the whole scenario to garner favour and earn votes and it backfired on them imo.

What I would like to know which all the anti-Aaron supporters have not yet answered me is where was this generous side of Louise, Jay and the Wolfpack when it was Anton's birthday?

Funny how now Aaron is involved people suddenly forget that or the fact that they didn't even think about buying anything or even having a party for Tom and Alex if BB hadn't have stirred the pot!
