Louise and Jay didn't want to do it.
The sudden change of mind summed it up. Both of them must of been thinking it would look bad if they didn't buy them a present. Aaron confronted Jay which is more evidence that Aaron is genuine. I don't think ive seen louise confront Aaron once in the house which to me feels like she isn't being genuine. I bet Jay is not as nice as he makes out outside the house.

I think the words you were actually looking for are: 'Louise and Jay were deliberating over it.'

For goodness sake, I really do not understand the love for Aaron on this forum! He is so unbelievably vile. Self righteous conniving drip. Eugh.

Oh My Hell,
what is it with people hating people who stand up to Aaron?
Jay and Louise wanted to do it. You can tell. Aaron's just arrogant,
Don't get me wrong, I don't HATE Aaron. But tonight, he should've put at least £50 towards the gifts. I don't get the LOVE of Aaron tonight, he was horrible.

Why should he put even 50p towards it if he genuinely doesn't want to? I wouldn't be emotionally blackmailed into buying anyone a gift just to look good. As for £50, Aaron has a son he would far rather spend his money on than those two hedonistic ingrates. Aaron is the only honest person in that house, always has been. He has never been afraid to speak his mind and stand by his word.

Also, Jay should be removed from the house for making threats against Aaron. Didn't take much for his inner thug to reveal itself again.

My problem with it is, they all said no to BB in the diary room, then Louise and Jay sneakily changed their minds and got it. If they wanted to do it, fine but they should have atleast said to Aaron : Look, we've changed our minds and we want to do it, are you sure you don't want to put something towards it? If he still didn't want to atleast he would have been warned about it so he didn't feel like such a langer when the presents arrived.

I agree it was really sneaky. I think If Jay and Louise really cared about Tom and Alex's birthday they wouldn't have ruined it by sneaking around behind Aaron's back, because it created a really bad atmosphere in the house. They saw it as a vote winning opportunity, not a reason to celebrate a birthday and hopefully it has backfired completely on them.

I've said it once and I'l say it again...

Jay and Louise obviously brought the presents to try and look good with the viewing public and with me, they've failed.

How do you know that he wouldnt have said "okay, I'll put X amount towards it?" the point is they went into the diary room WITHOUT mentioning to aaron that they had had a change of heart. That would have at least given him the opportunity to reconsider, and maybe even offer £1. he may have even gave them his blessing, but stood firm on his own decision. The fact is, they never mentioned a word, just snuck away like a couple of rats

Spending £500 on presents for strangers who you don't even like is just weird.

Of course Aaron is right.

Remember : Jay gave it all the, "We came into the house with nothing, so what does it matter".

Funny.... it mattered enough when BB wanted them to buy gifts at a £1000, and then £500. Mattered enough when he was in the diary room.

Lying hypocrite of man.

Spot on.

And both of them KNEW this fine well.

As shown by Louise's immediate need to declare it was only her and Jay who put up £500 each of their money. Shown by her going on and on about it all night. Shown by her making out that Aaron was being horrible in not joining in on the celebrations.

The man was left absolutely embarrassed, mortified and completely set up by the pair of them - not one person on here could say hand on heart that they could have sat there, with Tom and Alex showing off their gifts, with Louise ramming it down their throats that only her and Jay used £500 ....... it was a completely impossible situation for Aaron to be forced into.

Louise needs to give herself a good talking to.

End of the day Aaron knew he was in the wrong. So he spent ages walking up and down the kitchen trying to think of a way to turn it around on Jay & Louise. So he said it would make them look bad... No Aaron.. it makes you look bad and you know it mate.

Louise and Jay were clearly not been sincere with the present buying even in the edited version of events. Jay changing Aaron's prize money on the board was pathetic and how Louise can accuse Aaron of being weird. Then again she's told us all enough times how normal she is:sleep:, and what was with Jay calling Aaron a freak? That comment was just way too funny to get me angry.:laugh2:

Aaron was right. Unlike Jay and Louise, Aaron felt genuinely bad that the all thing happened on Alex and Tom's party. Alex and Tom were clearly enjoying the party, if anyone spoiled it, it certainly wasn't Aaron.

Because Aaron sticks to what he believes is right and not to please other people. Jay and Louise are the ones "playing the public". He has principals and he sticks to them... good on him, I hope he wins.

As a neutral here this seems to be how it went down

In the diary room Aaron was incredibly antagonistic to the whole idea of buying anything, even were they to have held out to get a brochure of low end items. His preoccupation seemed to be about money.

Later Jay and Louise start wondering if they should have purchased presents.

If you recall that Faye pointed out that people in their forget that the cameras are there

The reasoning was that they had not expected to get the allotted monies, which at that stage seems more like virtual money, they would not be in a disadvantaged position if they did buy a gift for Tom and Alex.

Since Aaron was opposed to purchasing any gift at any price, I suspect Jay and Louise did not see much point in consulting him, since they did not expect any contribution from him.

Aaron has been a devotee of Big Brother is probably aware of how the voting work in the last week, and somehow interpreted this action as an attempt to win votes.

Since he considers himself to be a "man of principle" he said what he perceived

Jay and Louise may have been genuine, but Aaron has developed a cynical attitude which coloured his perception.

What Aaron is doesn't even begin with 'P'.

I'm hoping against hope that there's some tiny clause somewhere deep in the smallprint that says, if we get to the final and all they're gits, none of them can win.
