Former jockey Willie Carson, 68, and ex-'Emmerdale' actress Lorraine, 60, arrived in Australia yesterday (07.11.11) ready to enter the jungle, while comedian Freddie, 68, was spotted leaving Heathrow airport to jet out to Oz.

Lorraine said of her involvement: "I had a 60th birthday in July and ever since then I've been trying to find a challenge. 'I'm A Celebrity' is that challenge."

Sinitta has reportedly quit I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! just days before the launch of the show after she realised the creatures on it wouldn't be fake.

Sinitta apparently didn't realise she would actually have to live in the jungle

The So Macho singer thought she would be staying in a hotel overnight rather than camping out in the Australian jungle, where the programme is based, and believed she would be surrounded by fake spiders and snakes – but they are real.

Producers were keen for the 43-year-old beauty – who had prepared for the programme by putting bogus insects around her home – to reveal some gossip about her ex-boyfriend and X Factor boss Simon Cowell.

An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: 'If she could've conquered her fears we would have had some great Simon Cowell and X Factor gossip around the camp fire.'

The former popstar is thought to have been experiencing anxiety attacks when she found out she would have to live in a camp site alongside creepy crawlies, rather than the luxury of a hotel.

Sinitta's spokesman explained: 'She would have been hilarious but her phobias cause panic attacks.'
