The 30k is not hers. She didn't win it. They agreed the money would be divided equally BEFORE they dipped in the hat. She isn't being generous at all no more than Jay is for handing over 5k of the 15k in his bank account.

Oh right, sorry, I was under the impression she had already agreed to share the money in her account with them so it was fair.

If someone said to you, 'I want to give you £1000', would you really just stand there looking at them with your hand out saying nothing until they put the cash in your hand?

Personally I would say thank you with a smile as soon as they made the offer, and thank you again when they gave me the money.

Had they not agreed to share it out equally, and subsequently decide who gets what amount via a lucky dip, she may not have got the 30K. They may have used some other method to decide and she might have ended up with the tenner.

There is NO niceness of the act. It's an "agreement" that was made before they dipped into the hat.
Whether she sticks to the agreement is yet to be seen. Whether she does or doesn't there's absolutely no need for gratitude as anyone of them could have decided to not go along with the agreement and therefore they all would have received nothing at all.
