Because they are way more entertaining than male housemates.

And there is a massive double standard. Things that male housemates can get away with and be loved, but if a female were to behave like that, my god...there would be a lynch mob waiting outside for her.

As a housemate yes. Just like I like Aaron as a housemate. But as a person? Absolutely not. Just as I liked Alexandra as a housemate, and Bea as a housemate, but not as a person.

The jealousy of the normal boring women that watch these shows are reflected in the voting! Until they buy themselves a rabbit and bugga off then the show will be like this for the forseeable future.

I would probably like her. I'm sexist when it comes to reality show contestants because I'm naturally more entertained by women and have a tendency to forgive their nasty behaviour.

Female housemates are just pointless - an all male house ala BB8's all female would have been amazing.

I don't think an all male house would be that entertaining. Having women in the house can bring both the best and worst out of men, and that's where the entertainment lies. I'm not saying that's the only reason to have women in the house (I think theres been some vey entertaining women in their own rights) but most of the highlights of male housemates have in some way involved women.
